Recieved a message statin g that I had won a $50 gift card from Target, Wal-Mart, or Home Depot. It was up to me which of the three I would receive. I'm on a no call list list but I believe the way they are getting around this is that when you are on the internet & you give out a cellphone number to any web site. That site can legally sell your personal information to other individuals if you have checked that small box agreeing to their policy. Because now you have not only given them permission to contact you but you have given them permission in many cases to sell your information. Facebook is one of the largest companies currently selling your information. That is why employers, creditors, & other companies have begun using it to make such decisions as to whether you should be hired or are a good credit risk. I only know the later because that is what I'm paid to do as a computer programmer.

I received a text message Monday, March 19th at 9:15 PM, " You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Walmart Gift voucher Call 1-877-552-3585 to redeem.  TXT STOP TO STOP "  The text came from 1-347-977-4461.  I called the 877 from a land line business phone and got a recording that I had to either call from my cell (so it is tracking where the calls are coming from and screening out unwanted or probing calls), or that I do not qualify for the special offer.  I found another post from a while back that stated the number led to a call center in India.  Either way, this is a hoax.

Received a text from 518-512-7448 for a free $50 Walmart Gift voucher. Call 877-552-3585. I am registered on the DNCL. Doesn't seem to help.

Received a text message from 356-678-9864 for free walmart gift voucher. Call 877-552-3585 to redeem.  I have all my phones, home and cells listed with the National Do Not Call List.  This apparently doesn't stop the annoying calls.

Received a text message  from  281-891-5439 stating "You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Walmart Gift Voucher.  Call 1-877-522-3585 to redeem.  TXT STOP TO STOP."

I also received a TXT from this # with: "You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Walmart Gift voucher Call 1-877-552-3585 to redeem.  TXT STOP TO STOP"

I did not respond.

Texted me with "You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Walmart Gift voucher Call 1-877-552-3585 to redeem.  TXT STOP TO STOP"

I would never respond.  I have never authorized anyone to text me to begin with.  I simply report.

Received a text message  from  352-613-5141 stating "You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Walmart Gift Voucher.  Call 1-877-522-3585 to redeem.  TXT STOP TO STOP."  Blocked both #'s with Mr. Number and filed a complaint with DNC.
