Have gotten 3 of these calls today, never got them prior.  They do not leave a message.

Your name wouldn't happen to be Arnold?  Or is it Mr Thomas? Never heard of anyone giving kudos to a debt collect...and I am a debt collector, but we operate with better practices.

I'm not sure who this guy is, he did not leave the company name but he wants me to call him right away.

Got a call from this number at my work place.  Secretary took a message.  Said Kevin Peterson called.  I don't know a Kevin Peterson.  The extension number was 4534.  He said the matter was very important.  Decided to google the number and found out that a lot of people are getting calls from this number.  I will not return the call.  I can think of only one credit card debt I never paid off because the bank informed me that the account was written off.  I tried several months ago to go on line and pay on the debt, but the account number was not valid.  Why should a pay a debt that was written off?

Same here. Thomas Richards calls from 1-877-553-3114 but asks to be called at 1-877-553-3109.

He does not sound threatening but he does not say who he is representiong nor does he ask for anyone specific so I let the machine get and then I delete. No call back from me unless he states who he is looking for and what he wants. Some say its a collection agency but I believe they would state who they wanted and I am paying my bills. Sounds like a scam.

I received a call from this same person.  I think it is a con and I am just reporting it and will not answer if called again.

I received 4 robo-calls in a row from a "Thomas Richards" who says he has an  message for a person at this number.  He says he has an important decision to make and he will make it whether I call back or not. he gives the number to call him back at as 877-553-3109, but the caller ID shows "New York Call (212)920-8260." Sounds like a scam!

yep, our business got the same message as stated above. I hope this guy gets caught.

He call my wife job says his name is thomas Richard and if she did not do has he says she will be in a lots of trouble. Can not be a collections call because her credit score is in the 780 range.

Voice message from a Thomas Richards who says that my files were given to him this morning for review and he had an important decision to make.  He's trying to give me a chance to resolve the issue before he take more action?  He said that he urges me to call him back immediately to discuss the problem.  He sounded pretty threatening.  Sick!

illegal calls. does not identify as debt collection. in violation of federal laws.

let me ask this question. they bought a debt that has been written off, right? for pennies on the dollar.

now, the government has already reimbursed the original company for the debt as a tax write off.

so, if they are collecting on something that has already been paid on by the government, aren't they commiting fraud? that debt should be paid to reimburse the government, if anyone.

these people are what's wrong with this country. it's a wonder that the economy is failing....

anyone want to start a class action against these people?? against the people who sell the debt after being reimbursed by the govt??

i got 2 calls, both a recording stating that he has paperwork that came across his desk and will be forced to make a decision on my behalf if i don't call him a.s.a.p.

      Even I had got a message recently, asked to call 877 553 3109 and extn 4526, called them and found out that they are a collection agency, I spoke to a person named Arnold R, who was very co-operative, He reminded me of an account I had long time back which I had already forgotten about, but he helped me resolve the matter, gave me a settlement and waived the interest charged all this time ever since the account was delinquent. So stop fooling around if you have a debt to pay and call Arnold I'm sure he will help you with the same....    "GOOD JOB ARNOLD"

A Bad Debt will be on your credit for 7 years. If you have had a bad debt (collector) on your credit report and you make new arrangements to pay off the bill. The 7 years starts all over as of that new agreement. And even if you now pay perfectly It will still show as a collection for seven more years. If you are six years into it. RIDE IT OUT!!!!

I keep receiving a call from this phone number877-553-3109 and say I have to give them my personal information and that I need to pay them. Now I found out that they have been complained upon for the same reason. Take it from someone who was a victim of ID theft DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OR ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE OR TO ANYONE. PROTECT YOURSELVES. This company is a scam and I was advised by my attorney not to do anything unless they could provide proof which they refuse to send me saying I am refusing to pay the acct. I owe but won't tell me nothing about it. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

You need to report this collection agency to the STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL of your state that you live in.

Caller talks in circles.  Caller speaks too quietly. Caller says they sent mail/email i requested that i have not received.  Waited awhile to give the whole attempt to collect a debt speech. Caller doesn't permit time for the person they are calling to think.

These people had the nerve to call my place of employment I thought that was against the law

I don't owe anybody any money.  "Jack Smith" left a message on my machine that repeated itself over and over until my machine ran out of space.  Said he had to make an urgent decision that involved me. What?!  And I have an unlisted number and pay for privacy, which is supposed to keep out calls like this. So annoying.  Some people will do anything for money.

Robo caller called for 1st time today. Never heard of these people before.... will file with FCC today.

A person calls saying he's Thomas Richards and says we need to call 1 877 553 3109 so he can get our information on record so he can make a decision on our behalf. This call will repeat and fill up your message machine. It's probably a collection agency after someone with the same last name. They have the wrong person.

I received a call too - Richard "Dick" Thomas sounds convincing, but he can jump in the lake.  Funny things is that I don't have any past due or outstanding debt.  Even funnier, I have never received any form of mail from these idiots.  If they know soooo much about me, you would think they had my address and would send me a formal letter.  They didn't even know my name.  Morons!  Try the scam on someone else.  Not sending you freaks a dime!  High hard one to you all!
