Text message about receiving a $500 gas Card. Text charges on my phone from a scammer!

I received a text message from 877-556-2924. The text automatically opens on your phone. This is the same scam I just canceled threw ATT that my Mother paid for thinking I had ordered something. I am on her family plan. She went ahead and paid then canceled the "service" but was unaware she should have charges removed from her bill. The same day she was rid of this another text comes in (eleven at once) and it is the same scam. They do this over and over using different numbers. Both I received said to reply with the word "stop" to be taken off the list. No matter what you do you will get charged. The first scam text listed a non-existing web site. The sender is not listed.

Got the same about the gas card. It is the second scam and came in text form after cancelling the first. How do you get rid of this crap? amycourtney112@hotmail.com

These blasted SOBs texted me again!  I hope they get fined so much that they bleed money.  Also fines should not be tax deductible as a business expense.  That would really hurt.  Phone Scammers should have to break rocks in the hot sun in Phoenix, be forbidden to ever do business via phones, and be FELONS for ever with a brand on their forehead like Cain.

I also got the text from this scammers. They said the call is from Arizona, but the callers accent was Indian. Who are these people and what do they want.

Also got a text from these people. Who are they? I spoke with somebody with Indian accent. Said they are in Phoenix.

This was the call back number for a text message about a free gas card.  Sure, like I am that stupid.  The incoming number was 9252977493.

will phone companys end the spammers? they are making money off them too!
Look at viruses with computers, they could stop that too but look at the money
that would be lost there too.

I have received 3 of these in the last 5 days.  Did not call them back

A cell phone text declaring I had won a $200 gas card, with this as the call back number. The origination # was 951-375-6666. Since I don't text, twitter or tweet I ignore and DO NOT call back. Since my cell # has only been made intentionally available to prospective employers, my assumption would be that these aggravating clowns are using random number call generators, based on known cell # prefixes. The origination number varies, so this is probably some pyramid income scheme disguised as a legitimate business. Look at periodic help wanted ads to sample the recruiting methods.

These (&(&()*& called me again!  ANother FTC complaint.  I hope the TWO complaints get them fined at least $16000.  I wish we could give these scammers JAIL TIME with the sheriff of Phoenix.

CALLED THIS TEXT BK FOR $200 AS VOUCHER. GUY SAYS THAT i HAVE SEVERAL WARRENTS OUT FOR MY ARREST AND IF I DONT TURN MYSELF IN THEY WILL SEND OUT THE SWAT TO PICK ME UP. NOT FUNNY!!!

I got the same gas card text message and when I called it was someone from India who said there was an activation fee of 2.95 and they wanted my credit card number. I told her I dont see why a voucher needs an activation fee and ive never had a gift card with one either and they hung up.

I got a text saying my number has been selected to receive 200.00 in walmart gift card but when I called they I was inform I have to pay for shipping and handling plus since I am in the 808 state my winning couldn't be ship all the over here.

The text that I received was from a 480-334-8546 number. I replied asking them to remove me from their list. If I get another text this week I will know that didn't work!

I received one too and the "ur" made me shake my head and think, yeah right! Anyone know how to get off of these lists? Never had an issue until just this week.

I did not call this number when I received a text saying that I had "been chosen to receive a $200 Gas Voucher & $20 gift card to ur favorite stores!"  It just seemed fishy to me right away, especially with the "ur".

This was the callback number on a text message from 9252977493 about a free $200 gas card.
