This number calls us at least once a day, many times twice a day.
Our phone screen says it's VW877-561-9962 that's calling but we don't know what the VW means.
We have never answered one of these calls.

I get calls several times a week, day or night.
I never answer them, but I started to think VW stands for Verizon Wireless.
My Caller ID shows VW877-561-9962(as name) and 1-702-520-1185 (Phone #).

I get dead air, they call almost everyday after 3 PM.

I kept getting calls from this number too -- daily! -- but no one would be there when I answered.  Finally, today, when I saw that number on my caller ID, I picked up and simply said, "WHAT?," and a telemarketer started her spiel.  She said she was calling on behalf of Verizon, who is our cell carrier.  I interrupted her, and asked to speak to her supervisor.  To my amazement, she put me through to him.  He said that they are a telemarketing service, and they represent whoever hires them.  I complained about getting the calls evry day, and about no one being there when I picked up.  I even told him about this website and forum, and told him that his company was pissing off a lot of people, including me.  He said he had my phone number (and read it back to me), and said he would put my number on his "do not call" list.  I said I didn't want to get calls from them when they were working for someone besides Verizon, and he explained that I would be put on THEIR do-not-call list;  that is, no matter who these people are representing, I will be on the do not call list.  We'll see.  But at any rate, if you're lucky enough to actually have someone on the line when you pick up a call from this number, you might try the same tactic.

Yeah, I started recieving these calls after I returned a call to a telemarketer asking Who ARE YOU? Why do you keep calling me? No not YOU, your company. Who are they? I know you are offering Debt Protection, But WHAT COMPANY IS OFFERING THE SERVICE?

I guess My cell phone company didn't appreciate me using their product to call back a telemarketor and cause them to hang up on ME.

Caller ID shows caller name is VW877 561 9962 but the phone number is listed as 702 520 .

Call showed up on my caller ID as JW877-561-9962   Is this the initals of the person calling?

We've been getting this on occasion. We don't pick up. We just wonder about it.

Keep geting calls from this number, VW 877 561 9962 and then 702-520-1185 below that. I answer and no one is there.  When the machine picks up they don't leave a message.

These calls just keep comming up on the caller ID; one man said that we have a paid vacation reserved in our name.  "I replied that no we don't, and please don't call again." then hung up the phone.

Hey.  Got the same identical message as you.  Only, they called last Friday night and left a message on my machine--sounded like two women together and they were asking "how I was" and before they hung up, one of them said, "remember 1982."  Hell, I don't know what to make of these calls!  I just don't answer any call unless I know who they are (remember caller i.d.???)  I think they think we're all stupid!

vw877 561 9962 was on my caller id...i didn't answer the call, and would like not to be bothered by this nuisance caller.

Phone number shows up as VW 877 561 9962 and then 702-520-1185 below that.  The 702 number is a residential # from Las Vegas, NV.

Same here, keep reporting them but they still call everyday.

Called left no info on machine.  Call lasted until machine hung up.  702-520-1185.

It's becoming extremely annoying.  The number is on my caller ID 3 times over a period of 24 hours.  BTW... I got the same offer as Daryl.

Telemarketing Call:
Claimed to be from Verizon. However, after specifically asking if they were a subcontractor for verizon, the caller told me she worked for "Global Contact Services".

She claimed to have a complete copy of my cell phone account records and offered me 2,000 free minutes or a month free if I would agree to a two year contract renual.

I had the same experience with this number as T-Tom
