After reading everyone's posts, and pretty much going on what I assumed as well, that they claim to be Alltel, I called back. When it prompted me to enter or say my telephone number, I spoke 'representative."  A guy named Brian came on the line. I could hear many other 'reps' in the background. I told him that I get many calls a day, EVERY DAY, from that number and I wanted it to stop. He got a little cocky at first, but I was very firm and let him know I had searched that number and that MANY websites had complaints about them calling. I told him I am a VZW customer, and their constant calls and vmails were a nuisance. He then asked for my phone number. I knew he needed that to put it in the system to have the calls stop, so I gave it to him. He then asked what was the 'correct' spelling of my name. I advised him that I was aware of the fact that my name is irrelevant, because it wouldn't be in the system. He stated he was just trying to get the situation handled for me TODAY and would I just provide my first name. I gave it to him. He advised it should be taken care of within minutes so that I do not receive any further calls. I thanked him and hung up. We'll see what happens. If I get any further info I will be sure to come back and post.

I have been blocking this number constantly.  I have Verizon and have had them as a provider for over 15 years

Consistent Daily calls to my Verizon Cell Phone. A Giant nuisance. Can not get it stopped!

I just got off the phone with them as I called the number back. It's Alltel collections and the lady looked at my account and knew I made a payment arrangement this morning, but the automated system didn't know this that's why the number dialed me.

Just Alltel saying "Hey, it's time to make a payment don't you think?" and they sometimes leave an automated voicemail, sometimes it's a person, and other times they don't leave a voicemail at all.

Keep getting collection calls for someone else. Alltel can't seam to figure out that I'm not who they are looking for! THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!!

I just got a letter in the mail - and told to all this number about HOA dues I owe on some property / resort in CA.  I don't own anything there....it must be a scam.

Called several times - no message left

If this is alltel why do they keep calling me when I have ask them not to.I think it's a scam. They would not tell my husband who they were.

I do have alltel cell phones I pay my bill on time. They leave a voice mail but it just wants you to call back. I;m gonna have my husband call when he gets in. They don't call his phone.

Alltel....I changed my service a couple of months ago, but kept my old number... they want to "offer me a discount on my montly bill" seriously

Yes, this is Alltel. This is their "over due" dept. They usually start about 3 days past your due date and keep going until they cut off your service. They will send you a Text stating that your bill is past due also. Well if you have cell service with them. I listed the call type as Debt Collector, but really it is not. Just the company trying to get their money.

They just left me a message , it is Alltel.

We had a friend of my son stay with us about 5 years ago that  was a altel coustomer,  I just begun getting phone callls for him from Altel for him and he had moved out of state and I don't know how to contact him, When I answer I get a recording and  I cannot talk to someone. I am getting tired of the calls

Getting calls form this number, finally picked it up, no one answered! Called back, it was a Alltel rep of some kind, dont have Alltel account!

I've been getting called daily from this number daily for 5 days.  They leave an automated voice message that it is Alltel with important information about my account, and to please call back.  Thing is, I do not have an Alltel account, have never had an Alltel account.  I am afraid to call them back to tell them this because I fear it is some kind of scam.

I got a call from this number on my Alltel cell phone---I read it could be a scammer posing as someone from Alltel. I did not answer the call and there was no voicemail left.

I get a call from this number daily on my land line and supposedly it is alltel and says that my service has been interruped and I must make a payment immeadiately, my service however had not been interrupted. I called alltel about this with details and they advised me not to make any payments to that number, it could be a scam. The alltel number is a 800 not a 877

IT IS ALTELL

I have but I never answer....I've googled the number but can't find any info
