My sister-in-law received a call from rubin and yates trying to contact my son about a debt,they gave her all his information.My son contacted them and they wanted 2,000.00 but they would settle for 1200.00 and he had to send them 150.00 on his debit card then they went in the month and drawed out 500.00 on a bank draft.This was only on a 300.00 debt.Then he closed his debit card out so they couldn't collect the other 550.00 until more info was found out about them.I called them to see what was going on they gave  me all of my sons credit history and told me he had a pay ment return of non sufficent funds and that was a violation of the statue of the state of tennessee and if he didn't have the money by the next day he would have to turn it over to the da's office.I asked him to send a letter to my address stating why he owed so much on a 300.00 debt.he said he would mail a letter that day .We never received it.He called back a week later to see if we got it ,but we never received it.He told me someone must be taking our mail.I asked him to send it certified and he told me he would have it sent cod. I told him to send it and I would pay for it.I never got it.then he called back a week later and said he had checked with the post office and said we had received it.Then he wanted to settle for 300.00 that day only.All of this has been recorded.
