Flagstar Bank said my account was expiring and to call 877-575-0161 to update. I do not have a Flagstar account. I called and the message told me to enter my 16 digit account number and the pound key. I typed 1234567891234567# and it kept repeating over and over.

I received a call from this number on 11/16/07.  The message indicated that ___ had expired and I needed to call back immediately. I suspected something because the first part of the message was unintelligible and ckecked the internet to find out that it was bogus. Thank you.

This is a phishing attempt.  I called the bank and that is what they told me.

Said they were Bank of the Cascades and needed me to update my account
information.
