FRAUD....Report  number to FTC, If Nationwide is really a collection agency they aren't following the consumers rights and sending any type of notice but instead are having some third party losers contact people and make empty threats on having you served at your workplace with the charges against you.....Don't fall for it!!!!!!

My brother received a call from a Steven Jones, 9252373642, asking for my number due to the fact that I supposedly didn't stick to an agreement that I had supposedly made with a company called Nationwide, 8775850952. My brother gave me his number and when I called it back it tells you it's an investigation service and they do not receive incoming calls--Really???? Steven then called me at work, how he got my work number, I have no idea let alone who Nationwide is.  This loser proceeded to tell me I was to call the 877 number immediately or he would serve me papers containing the charges against me.  When I started questioning this Steven, he became very irate, threatening me, telling me to put my superior on the phone, telling me he would call my work place everyday until he talked to everyone in the office and tell them all about these current charges brought against me---LOL OK Steven!!!!! Told Steven to feel free and come by anytime because I am really curious about these charges. Needless to say after I hung up he continued to call my workplace 7 times w/in 10 mins letting me know how unprofessional I am and that he knows I'm scared (yea sure I am..haha).  I have also called Nationwide, who claims to be a collection agency, and have asked them to send me some kind of documentation letting me know what this debt is that I owe, woman I spoke w/said that I already know and that this debt can be taken care of as we speak once I confirm my social security number and I can use either a credit card or my bank card.  I let her know that i've filed a complaint with the FTC against them and this Steven Jones creep, woman at Nationwide claims they do not use other parties to track people down but then she hung up on me when I asked then how come he gave me the Nationwide number to call.

I have had this number and 434-336-3214 harrasing me and my family for two days.  The 434-336-3214 first calls multiple times.  They have spoken with my daughter and a co-worker, giving out personal information, which is illegal.  He then leaves a number of 877-585-0952 for me to call.  I have called and spoke with them twice, both times I have been unable to obtain any paperwork showing me the debt.  I explained nicely that I will pay my debt, but I fist need documentation showing what it is for.  They refuse to give me this.  The last person, Jeromy, stated that I was uneducated and could not receive these documents until I paid the debt.  My last phone call from 434-336-3214 was 1 hour ago, and he stated he was 20 minutes from my work, and had spoken to my supervisor (which he did not, I verified this) and if I did not want him to serve me with papers I had to call the 877-585-0952 number immediately.  (When he hung up on me I tried calling the number back and it does not accept incoming phone calls.  Therefore, I texted the number back to make him aware that I was waiting in my office with the campus police.  1 hour later he has not shown up to serve me the papers.)  When I called this number once again, I informed them I had spoken to the police and my lawyer, and my legal right is to receive papers letting me know what the debt is for.  This is when Jeromy told me that I was uneducated.  When I asked for the address to "Nationwide", he got very angry and told me that I did not need this information.  They have all been rude and unwilling to give me any information on the debt.  Jeromy stated I was in Pre-Letigation and at this point I am not able to receive any documentation on this.  From all of my research and speaking with my lawyer and the police, if I was truly in Pre-Letigation I would have received a letter stating this claim.  I have made authorities aware of this scam.  How are people getting them to stop?    I am willing to press charges for the harrasment and their illegal way of talking to others.  They obivously need to educate themselves on Privacy Laws.

My neighbor was contacted for a reported "fraudulent account" issued to my name. The so called agency disclosed that I was being pursued for fraud and the number to call back as well as the case number, and at the very end of the message they said "Jenny ******* you are officially served." They listed a great deal of information not normally allowed to be told to anyone else, due to the privacy act (I work for a payday loan store), on my neighbors answering machine. When I called the number back I spoke with a man who did not ask me for any personal identifying information but was very pushy about getting a credit card on file. He wouldn't tell me who the original company placing charges against me were, as well as send me physical proof to how much I owe and to whom I owe it to. He said that the only way I would be getting information in the mail would be when they send me my official court date notice and that if I did not pay today that they would end up garnishing my wages. The original price they quoted me was $394 but after the man talked to his "manager" told me that they would remove the $200 "locator" fee and that I would owe $194 today only if I paid right now, if I wait I would have to pay the full $394. When I asked to speak with the manager he told me that I had no reason to speak with him and that he would tell me nothing different. Then told me that he was the case manager on my case anyway. I asked for his name which I did not catch, but I did find out his now supposed co-workers name was Andre Johnson. I have contacted my local police department who told me to give no information to them. I don't know what else to do, I don't believe my law enforcement will do anything about this matter and what if they really were a legit company but I did not feel safe giving them my information. Now I have had legit companies contact me due to debt before and they have always started the conversation "I just have to let you know that I am a debt collector and I'm making and attempt to collect a debt" these people never said anything even close to that and to top it off didn't even verify my information when I called back. This is a scam, these people are nothing and everyone should be aware of what they are doing. I will be filing a report with the FBI on this matter.

These people called my sister and told her that I was going to be served with papers. They wouldn't give me the number of the people that are supposed to be serving me with papers and I was told that they would be going to my place of employment.  I also couldn't get the number of the people that they got the debt from. I told them that I was going to call the DA's and was wished good luck.

I get a call from a man that says, " He needs to verify my address to serve me papers to deal with the charges that are  against me."  I asked who it was and he said, " Oh, you don't know whats going on?  You are to get these papers to address the charges against you."  He gave me a claim number and 877.585.0952 to call and find out about this.  He said that he would follow up to give me my papers.  I have to give them credit.  This is a unique tactic to get people to call the collection agency.  However, all business can be done via mail and I do not have any CHARGES against me.

Low life collection agency for a supposed payday loan.  Have never even had one, but they have my phone number in their system. Making empty threats - they need to get a real job instead of threatening others...
