why don't you answer the phone and maybe they'll stop calling you. Just politely ask to be put on the do-not-call list. You people who don't answer the phone don't realize the auto dialer will keep calling you till they speak to you.

FYI...The national do not call list DOES NOT apply to non-profit organizations.. you should read between the fine lines. and if you don't answer the phone the auto dialer will keep calling you... Answer the phone and be polite as they are polite to you and just ask to be put on their do not call list.. We are all mature and grown up aren't we? And PLEASE be nice to the telemarketer that calls for the non-profit organizations. The bottom line is we are just trying to help those out there that are ill.. Thank you

I called the 800 number listed on it's web site and was directed to call 1-800-462-7831.  I did so and gave my information to the agent and demanded that I be removed from all calls and all mailings.  She said she would make sure that they stopped.  We'll see.

BTW, I've set my answering machine to max. rings (7) before it picks up.  They never wait that long to leave a message.  I NEVER answer the phone unless I recognize the name or phone number and I NEVER answer any 800 calls.

have seen this on my caller id almost daily when I get home, no messages ever. So I just called the number & rec'd a recorded message that it was the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and they were doing their annual drive, however if I wanted to be removed from their call list I just had to enter my phone number and the recording said that although they had 30 days to remove it, they would attempt to remove it as soon as possible.  That was simple enough.

Same thing here, volunteered 1 time and now they won't leave alone...they also sent a package I threw away, if they have that kind of money for that then they aren't using the donations for what really matters.

Ya, I did the same thing A MONTH AGO, and they still call.  
They call from a few different numbers, and I think it sucks that they call as much as they do. OVER AND OVER AGAIN..  
And because they are a "charity", they can't be stopped?

charities that constantly hound me with phone calls get no monetary support from me, ever!

I've use it before but they keep calling. Make sure to leave a bogus name and address or they'll shower you with junk mail.

Return call @ 877.597.0882 and you will be given the automated option to have your number removed.

As suggested by others, you can easily have your phone number removed from their list. I returned a call from 877-597-0882 and heard a short automated message about their current donation drive.

Then the message gave me the option to press 1 and have my number removed. I entered the number, followed by # sign. It all took less than a minute ... hope this stops the calls.

It really is a shame a good organization is being ruined by these calls. I once was neighborhood collector, so now they call me all the time. If you donate, they then start calling the donors. Makes you not want to donate to them. Especially annoying when I am away from home, and use my cell to check messages. I get charged by the minute.

I am getting many, many calls from the same numbers as Jeff in MD above. We have donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the past so they are not constrained from calling even though I am on the Do Not Call Registry. However, if you go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society website, there is an option on their "Contact Us" page for communication preferences and you may have your number removed from their telemarketing list. I'll stop back and let you know if that actually works.

I get calls each day starting at all hours from early morning to evening.  The calls are registered as Toll Free.  I am recovering from an illness and need these to stop.  I did read what one person wrote about being a volunteer for Lymphoma and Leukemia for the neighborhood and I may have done this a number of years ago.  I'm using the "report unwanted phone calls" site.

We receive a call almost every day from 877-597-0882. We are on the National Do Not Call List but whoever is initiating these calls is disregarding it.

This number makes the 10th different they are using to call me. I have asked them to stop calling but they haven't. This is now harassment!
