Message left every day: "If you have any questions about this call, dial this number" or something like that. No other message.

I called this number and was placed in the Wells Fargo phone log loop.  I believe the scam is that this phone number conference calls the Wells line and then records the conversations or at least the numbers typed.  Wells Fargo had never heard of this number and it has no visibility online.  BEWARE.

well I don't have a credit card period with Wells Fargo, I don't have but 1 credit card and its definately not them.  So why are they calling me if its nothing but a scam.  Beware of anyone who says its ligit, its NOT!!

I missed a payment, which I rarely do, so they called me for this number.  I called back to the number on my Wells Fargo card and they took my transfer information to pay the bill.  This was a good, proper call.

It may be legit. I checked my Wells Fargo cc account after seeing the above post. I too missed a payment.
They may be using a contract service to make the calls. I still would not trust it, and went straight to my account.

I called the OFFICIAL Wells Fargo hotline at (1-800-To-WELLS) , asked them about this number. The representative searched up the number and it is official: THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM. They do NOT HAVE THIS NUMBER IN THEIR DATABASE. ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY AND THEY ARE MOST LIKELY GOING TO SCAM YOU. AGAIN, WELLS FARGO DOES NOT HAVE THIS NUMBER IN THEIR RECORDS! I talked to a live representative about this!

we constantly get a recorded message from this number.  this is a business phone, they have the wrong number but will not stop calling.

I've had 30 calls and they are calling the wrong number

I just got called twice by this number as well.
2nd time they left the automated message telling me to call that number.

Wells Fargo huh?

Well, I'll call them as they are my bank, and ask them if they authorized that call.

EDIT:  yup, it was Wells Fargo Credit, and it looks like I missed a payment on my (old closed) credit card, and I verified that on my online account as well.
I paid my bill, and the calls stopped:)

Either-way, it seems shady for them not to just simply say something benign like "Please call Wells Fargo Card Services", or something.

Oh well.

Got a couple of messages on my answering machine while away. Called the number and it's a recording that claims to be Wells Fargo and asks me to key in my credit card number. Of course, I didn't...

I keep getting the same calls, so I gave in...it is Wells Fargo
