These people were very rude and unprofessional.  Sent me a bill in the mail however won't answer my questions and says they can't talk to me about an account because I am only the co-signer.  When I asked them to fax me a copy of my signature dude (that is putting what I really want to call him nicely) asks "well if you didn't sign which I am sure you did then who would have".....duh idiot forgery.  I can't get credit on my own how the hell can I co-sign for someone, then he says  you will need to talk with the other party involved.  We contacted the so called vendor and they said do NOT contact them again, do NOT send them any money, do NOT give them any further information.  They were not contacted by this company to collect anything.

call qwest? clearly qwest was who you owed money to. they handle all kinds of collections for qwest. aka centry link. they handle actual collections, they handle accounts before they're assigned to collections, and they handle customer service calls for the financial department when you call qwest aka century link. wake up, you owe somebody money. don't get upset, just deal with it. pay it, don't pay it, but don't get all mad a pissy because you're the only one who pays for a bad attitude. they don't care, they can't, if they let you get the better of their attitude they'd end up quitting their job then they'd owe qwest money too. der der der

you got a call because your sister-in-law owes somebody money and your number was associated to her while she stayed with you. it's not a big deal, just say you are not her, she is no longer available at your number, and you don't have contact info for her. or, alternatively, give them her number and make sure you sugarcoat sweetly and politely ask they not call you at your number since she's not available there. if the conversation is already stupid, just say 'oh sorry she's not available at this number and I don't know why you have it. don't call this number' and leave it at that. name calling doesn't help your goal of not getting stupid calls. If you didn't know the person, you'd say hey I dont know that person and they are not available at my number and don't call this number again. .. your rant about working sales has nothing to do with collection calls, they don't have a call list, jack***. just nicely make clear that person isn't available. If your number is their only contact number, then don't lie.. just tell them 'don't call my number, send any information by mail only please and thank you'. Lying about the phone number just makes them call other numbers, so if she is there you can have them not call, but don't try to elude or in 3 months they'll be calling grandma and that's not a good option. keep it sane and that's how to handle it for the least amount of irritation. that's how you say F* Y* to collectors, you play by the rules. if they call back, remind them you've requested they not call back and are in violation of the FDCPA.

I keep getting a call from this number - after doing some research on the web, they appear to be ER solutions - collecting for Qwest - which I find hilarious, since I don't owe Qwest a dime.  They have called my office number several times.  At one point I asked them point blank to stop bothering me at work - guess what?  They still call.  I have asked them repeatedly what they want, but they keep asking for my SSN.  I am not giving that out to anybody.  The last time they called and i talked to them, I laughed at the girl and told her "good luck, honey.  After this, I wouldn't give your company the crust off my a**."

This is the biggest group of dumb ignorant idiots one web site can hold... There would be no need for collection agencies. Here is my argument. WHy do collection agencies call? Because people do not pay their bills. Therefore what would stop collection agencies from calling? People paying their bills. Start at the root of the problem and work your way up.

This is ERS. I have an unpaid account with them. After being laid-off with no income now, I have contacted them many times but they are not willing to work with me for alternate payment arrangements. Now they are just pests - I do not answer when this phone number appears on my Caller ID. I do not answer calls that show Caller IDs of 800- or local numbers I do not recognize or "no name".

so its ok for them to violate a contract and get away with it but if i do i owe money I don't think so. If Qwest breaks it they don't get anymore of my money and if they want me to go to court well cya there, oh and bring the recording with you
love to see your faces to here the terms "If we "Qwest" change cost or coverage without notification to costumer, or if costumer cancels before contract ends the sum of
$250.00 must be paid on account by violator" So Bring it!

This is ERS a collection agency that Qwest and others use. I've told these nut cases that I already arranged with Qwest to pay them $10/month for the next 10 months (which I've been doing for the past 5 months, and Qwest has been cashing the check, so why did they go to a collection agency for $50?? @$$ wipes)

I continue to receive calls from ERS even though Qwest finally realized I don't owe them money.  They had at first claimed I did not send my old modem back, which I did.  They finally found that they received it in their system, and told me they would tell ERS to stop calling me.  That was December, this is March.  I still get calls, and even after calling Qwest multiple times and after they tell me ERS shouldn't be calling me anymore, they still are.

If this shows up on my credit report, I'm going to be fuming.

Called and hung up.. So I called them back and asked for the full name of their company. She replies, "ERS". I asked what that stood for and she just said "ERS is the name of the company".

I told her that I need to send a Cease Communications letter and what was their address. and she replied,

Thats because your son owes a debt... If people would just pay their bills there would be no need for collections agencies. Thats sounds like a smart idea. I pay my bills and i defend collections agencies. They help the economy for dead beats who skip out on their bills and get services that arent needed...

I do owe qwest money, I will put that out there.  However, these morons at Qwest have two seperate accounts for me.  They didn't transfer my service properly from my old address so I now have two bills for a little over $200.  I will NOT pay them anything until they can get this figured out.  This 877-606-6800 number calls me constantly.  They call me several times in a row sometimes.  I never answer nor do I clear my voicemail so they can't leave a message.  I refuse to talk to these people.  After the constant calls from 8 AM to 9PM, who would want to talk to these harassing retards.  I have been in contact with Qwest about this and I will only talk to those 1/2 retards.  This collection agency sucks, never answer your phone when they call.  Qwest isn't much better.  I suggest Comcast.

I just received a call from this number. They are a collections agent. For those check loan places. These people were looking for my mother-in-law. Reason ya'll are probably getting the calls is that someone used you as a reference.

Very annoying people they don't know when to stop calling

I did have this one resolved for a couple of months, with Qwest and ER Solutions.  Then I found the collection on my credit report.  Disputed it with the credit bureaus and got it cleared.  Now they're calling again.  I'll bet they are billing Qwest for all the calls they make whether they need to make the calls or not.  I'm going to start with the cease letter and getting in touch with Qwest.  And this is all because Qwest didn't turn off service at the old place when I moved, like they were supposed to...Remember when our parents made dire predictions about us running the country?  Common sense is not so common any more.

Received a phone call from ER Solutions. They are the collection agency for Qwest Communications.  I recently bundled my services and when I did so, it completly screwed up my billing.  Direct TV said I was deliquent when I had paid Qwest the money and so on.  My sitsuation is a bit unique, however, the first Qwest rep I delt with was horrible!

Here is the information for the collection angency in the event you would like to send them a letter to no longer contact you.

They call constantly at work asking for someone who works a different shift.  They have been told repeatedly to stop calling and that this person will never call them back, yet they still call frequently at least 2 months later.  When asked what this was regarding they said "a private business matter"

It is Legal under Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Rules to call between 8 AM and 9 PM in your time zone.  This collection agency is a highered gun for Qwest phone company.  It would apear that their tactics aren't anymore profesional than Qwests are.

You can send them a letter of dispute (send this registered mail) and request that they cease calls to you. Further contact after you have proof that they got your letter is a violation of federal law.

I used to work for ER Solutions about 6 years ago.. I just recently had an account sent to them by Qwest .. talking to these "NEW AGED COLLETORS" is a [removed:lang] joke, the FDCPA regulates what they can and can-not do over the phone, first of all. ERS doesn't sue anyone unless you have an account in subrogation for like an insurance claim. 2nd of all The letters they send you is the Collections Managers name, when you call in and ask for that particular person they know you have gotten a letter and 9-out of-10 times you're going to pay your pill.

Bottom line is, google search "CEASE" letters for Collections Agencies and mail it to them.. make sure you print the one that says they have to validate the debt.. in which they have 30 days to do so if they don't, you don't owe it, believe me collections agencies care more about people paying then people trying to scam.. LOTS OF DEBTS GET DROPPED becase of this very tactic.

I have recieved 3 calls on my cell phone just from this number. Landline probably has nothing to do with it. Never picked up because I was at work. I have also recieved phone calls from other numbers on this site, all within the last few weeks. I think it is because I was a reference on someone's student loan and they defaulted. I have not been in contact with the person in about 3 years and have requested to every collection agency that calls to take me off as a contact, yet when they sell the collection to the next agency, the data gets restored somehow. I wish they would listen. Everytime they call, it brings back painful memories of my abusive ex and I have told them this. I wish there was a way to sue them for damages.
