got a voicemaill from an officer who is going to serve me a subpeana unless i call blackstone group within 24 hours.

I received a voicemail from a serious sounding man that stated he's trying to reach The ***** Family at (my old address) and that it was in my best interest to contact them within 24 hours to avoid further action. He said to reference a case# when I called. So I called them back, same thing everyone said before, a man answered "corporate office", took my case#, transferred me to a woman who answered "legal dept". Asked me if my name was so-in-so, I said no. Then she asked if I was another so-in-so, said no. She said it was regarding a civil suit with these people who were mother and daughter. Said that I could get involved in it if I was living there with them, blah blah blah. Advised her I sold that house a long time ago and she said that I probably got called because they had searched property records and that she'd remove my phone#.  My cell# isn't published either so I don't know how they got it. The only site I have it on is Facebook and you have to be on my friends list to view it.  Sounds like they're a skiptracing company. They're in violation big time though, for disclosing to me the parties involved in the lawsuit and the nature of the case...big no no in the collection/skiptrace industry.  If I knew the parties involved, I'd let them know and be a witness for them in their own lawsuit against these people.  Who knows, maybe I'll just drive over and talk to them...lol.

We received a call from this number 1-877-622-3290 stating that they filed a lawsuit against me and verified my SS#--I was soo stupid to give her my social security number!! I'm still kicking myself for doing it!! The lawsuit number she gave me was 13621SR. I went to the Superior Court Website and verified the Case# and I found out it doesn't exist. This is a SCAM! I don't know what to do with the Social Security number I already gave them? I need some advise please. Thanks!

I too got a call from this number and i was wondering what the validity of the company was i even googled it and found little to nothing, they stated i was going to be served with a sc-100 form at my work i told them ok so i called the number and it turned out they where the owners of a debt that i owed so i ignored them thinking it was a collection company then i recieved a failure to appear in court when i pulled up my record trying to pay off a traffic ticket and i investigated it and it was actually the blackstone group who actually sued me. there was also a judgement on my account from them so i dont know about you but this is legit.

Got a call today by this number stating I was getting served for the address I was at for my ex wife over 11 ago.  I was not on the suponea, it was for the address...They called my Wife on her Cell Phone,probably because it is in my name.

Ive been getting the same calls - it started on my work cell and they used 858 451 5794 - i happen to be running from debtors so when i pick up and shes like im from the county process server dept and im confirming your work address is ____ because we have paperwork to serve you, i immediately hung up after she asked if my name is correct and it was - then after hanging up i thought it was fishy that they called me ahead of time to let me know ( since i have already been served and they ambush you - not give you a notice )so i returned the call which i blocked - the operator clicks in and says "line not available" and hangs up - then i get a note from the receptionist at my work saying they called again using 877 622 3290 ref CA 11403. so after finding this page and seeing the scam i decided not to bother calling back..well the last couple of days they have managed to find my dad's company work cell # and my parents home # leaving the same messages and now they are saying i have a cease and desist order that expires today..? that would mean that the court ordered me to stop doing something by the way she described me as having the cease and desist order, not haveing an order against me that expires today..so ok, i call the 877 622 3290 back blocking my number and some guy picks up "coroporate office" so i ask what coroporation or company is this - he responds "uhh blackstone group" and i ask what is the mailing address - He responds why do you have a case referenced with us - whats the case #?  - not playing his game i asked again what is the mailing address to your building - he responds "why do you need our mailing address" - i respond with so i can verfiy if your are a legit operation or if your are running a scam..he speedily tells me the number beeing like 29107 south archibald - no street or ave or road or drive or blvd/ or city or state /nothing - i respond with uhh just 29107 south archibald, whats the zip - he responds very quickly again you can look us up on the web - the blackstone group..I said thanks ill be sure to do that.....so i checked the site and its some investment company which i believe is real but the scammers are just saying they are the blackstone group incase they call someone with computer right infront of them...

i got same call but he left me a message he said i am doing illegale stuff i have to call back or he will send all the documents to the court so you think just ignore  them and dont call back?

I have received similar calls stating that Mia Sanchez is calling from the county process servicing department and that I was being readied to be served and a filing was to be made with the county clerks office. I should call to see what this matter is about. 877-622-3290 Case # CA..... They stated my address and my employers, then hung up.

My employer and their corporate office has received such calls from different individuals stating that they need to speak to me because of being served. They gave a case number and an 877 number and stated they were with a law office The Blackstone Group. My employer thought it was strange that I was being notified that I was being served. My employer asked if they knew where I worked and lived, why hadn't they served me? They hung up.

I contacted an attorney friend and told him what happened plus gave him the case number. He researched it and stated the case number was bogus and not in any court filings. It must be an internal file number they use. He thought the company is a debt collector with shady practices.

Hello, I have also been getting these calls.  The called quite a few times also callinging the other cell phone I have on my account. Which was to my husband but the cell phones are in my name.  I have Sprint if this helps. They started with a CA case number. They are always very vage and say things like we have your paperwork down at county. A few days ago they called again with the same CA case number and the 877-622-3290 Stating they need me to call back or they will searve me at my place of work and or home. Today I got a call from a  Man saying he was Officer Bill Santos from the Mesa AZ County prossecing serving divition and then gave me a AZ case number. He told me offecirs were looking for me to try and serve me (sorry for my spelling)  Two things There is Mesa and Maricopa county but not Mesa County. So I called both and they looked me up in the whole state and there is nothing for me. They said this is a SCAM and DO NOT CALL BACK. They also check to see if this man worked for the AZ Police. SO Its a scam and don't call them back. The Officer on the phone said the police dept will not call before they serve someone.  Hope this help someone because this site really helped me to be on alert. The main thing that red flagged me is the other line number they said I put that down as a ref and we just got that number a few months ago. I have not gotten finance or anything for years now.

Apparently the "Blackstone Group" is also using 866-234-0587 and 866-350-8355. It seems that from those numbers they're running outright scams, trying to harvest people's bank account numbers.

I got this same call -- from the "Blackstone Group" asking me to arrange a time for the "Sherrif's Department" to serve me a subpoena (of course, there's no subpoena). I don't think he directly claimed to be an officer, but that's sure the impression he was trying to give, which is definitely illegal. Criminal even. I believe he gave his name as "Michael Cooper" -- probably a lie. If they call again I'll record it -- maybe there's a class-action here.

I just received a similar call from a "blocked" number. The lady said she is with the Process Serving dept and will be serving papers for me.  She left case number CA12331SEB as my case number. I am not calling them back because I was suspicious as to their validity.  I have never heard of anyone being called before they have been served.  I can say it makes me nervous and not happy with their tactics.

Who was reported? What does that mean? There is no way these calls are genuine.

We received a voice message from this number.  The message said it was for (one of our neighbors) and that it was assumed they had the correct phone number and address unless we called back within 24 hours.  They referenced a case number CA8130SB2.  The caller never mentioned a company name, reason for the call, or what the case number was in reference to.

We called back and were told they were trying to set up a time for the sherrif to serve papers.  (That didn't seem quite right, as I work with evictions, and the sherrif's never let anyone know when they are showing up to serve the eviction/lockout notices, because they don't want to walk into an ambush.)  So I asked if they were a process serving company.  The woman, said they just make the arrangements.  I told her they had the wrong address.  No one here by that name.

I pressed further, and was told it was Blackstone Group vs. our neighbor, and ours is the phone number and address they had on record.  The woman said she couldn't correct the address in their system, that she's never seen a "mistake" like this, and that I would need to call the attorney's office, Jason, Esq.  I was given the number of 877-609-8635.  When I called they answered "Corporate Office" and asked for a case number.  I told them they had the wrong address and phone number for the person they were looking for.  He said they would correct their records.

A few days later, the calls started again, this time with a different case number CA8130SEB.  We called back 877-622-3290 late at night and got a voice mail that said "Sara Blankenship", with no company name, dept, or other identifying information.

We called our neighbor who called the Sherrif's dept and they said they have no record of such a case number or an order to serve papers.  It appears these folks are just on a fishing expedition to try to track down someone, trying to get information on that person any sleazy way they can.  I assume it is a collection agency.

The next time they call, I will not be pleasant.
