Eileen with Asset Verification at 877-630-6498 is still at it - beware!!!

I got a private call around 11:30-40am, so did my mom, and so did my dad, all around the same time, only he got the vm. I listened to it, addressed to me, with the SAME "script": "asset verification, we received your file today with name and SS#, we must verify place of employment..." They spoke A LOT of legal terms, don't get tricked, it's a SCAM!

I got a message today directing me to call 1-877-630-6498 regarding a pending litigation. They did have my name, and said they have my SS number, and said that I needed to call within 24-48 hours before they would take further action. It freaked me out!!! I do have some debts but glad I looked up the number to verify. It was strange because I never got served any legal papers. Debating on calling the number back and finding out what they'll say on the phone.

scammers have become more sophisticated.  check out posts for 877-630-6498.  didn't say a name but said from asset verification services.  they wanted to verify my employment and something else and claimed to have my name and soc number, but the hilarious thing is they called me by the wrong name in the vmx.  

in the real word, to be served for a law suit, it is done in person or by publication!  nobody calls you!  

even though i knew this was a scam it still rattled me.

if the scammers put that much effort into something productive, imagine how successful they could be.

THEY SAY THEY ARE COLLECTORS AND WANT TO VERIFY YOUR SS NUMBER. DONT DO IT!!

Called my sister in law and theatened her to continue calling even though I don't live there.

called my cell - did not disclose the nature of the call.  Threatened to show up on my job or home for a signature for a certified letter
