They r saying they are from the processors office in the state of maryland and i need to make a payment or I will be served papers from the at my work.  Can they legally do this

This is a company trying to collect on a Tribal loan. She said her name was Ms. Walls and that there was a case of 288567; however no court was names. I called her back to see what BS she was going to give me and she couldn't tell me the court (said it was out to the county he lived in). In the county we live in that would NOT be enough numbers and the configuration is wrong; so I know for a fact she is full of it. Besides my husband works for the federal government and I highly doubt he has any cases against him. Tribal loans are ILLEGAL in any state that they do not have a licence in (which I think the only state is OK). If you have ever looked or applied for an online payday loan they will fraudulently deposit money into an account and then charge you like 90% interest (check the small print). They will NOT let you send money order or any payment through the mail, they request you give them your bank information so they can auto-debit the account; in which they suck you dry.  DO NOT APPLY ONLINE FOR ANYTHING UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE WHO THEY ARE !! This is a complicated situation as because they are "tribal" they can claim they are not held to US laws; so its difficult for agencies to prosecute them ( I know I've contacted several). recieved a call stating they were going to summons me at my house today, and asked the last 4 of my ssn, scammers!!!

They call themselves creditors.

just received a message saying that she was Peggy Jones from San Bernardino County and that she was going to have the authorities serve me at my home today.....It is a crock bill collector

Got a message with this number given. Caller stated "my name is Ms. Browning your name and number was listed as a possible reference on legal documents submitted for Amanda Zack Miller." I have never heard of anyone with that name and the caller ID on the phone was listed as "Private Caller".
