Got a call this morning from this number. The woman had a deep accent and wanted to know if I would be at my current address for the next 60 days. I told her I didn't know where I was going to be in that time frame. She hung up on me. Called the number back and it was a non-working number.

A month ago I had a similar call and reported it to PA PUC as well as called my current electric company. My account with my company is restricted and they cannot give out any information about it except to PUC. My suggestion is check with your current companies and make sure that your accounts are restricted. If they aren't your company can change that for you.

This is a scam so please for your sake be very careful giving any account information to them.

I got phone call from this number in Saturday morning.  A lady with indian accent and asked for name. When I asked who she is she hang up. O called that number back and says it is a non working number. I think is some sort of scam from over seas.

I have phone calls from this number on Saturdays mornings. A lady with with an accent is either from pakistan or Iran. She hangs up each time.

I got a call from this number and did not answer it but when I tried calling it back Verizon said it was not a working number..Go Figure!

Second day in a row I've gotten a call from this number. Every time I answer, an automated speaker says it's my local power company and they're sorry they missed me, any questions to call a different number. It's annoying!

Thank you so much for this info!  Just got a call on my cell phone under the same circumstances.  I told the guy I'm not interested and that this number is my personal number and not to call me again.  He hung up on me.  Haha

Call on my cell phone.  Man with Indian accent.  Said he was calling for MetEd the electric company serving this area and wanted to send some energy product that was going to save me money. I gave him no information and hung up.  PA allows shopping for electricity and there are many companies trying to get customers so I suspect this may be a telemarketer for one of them.

If you want to shop for electricity go to the PA PUC's website, www.papowerswitch.com to start researching what's available rather than listening to a high pressure pitch for one company.
