They're scammers - they don't care how many people they scare, upset or worry - all they care about is getting money out of someone - anyone.  See Tamianth's post above for good information.

Never met anyone like this. they never gave any real evidence to us and are still going to be "persue us in court". How can people live like this being soo mean to everyone this is wrong and why live like that.

I received a call and given this number to call trying to collect and says a civil suit has been filed and I will be served  against me for a 16 yr old bill.

I been getting calls non stop harrasing stating about an old bill.. I called back they said TMobile was gonna take me to court and I made an agreement to pay. But now that I think of it maybe it's b***s***.

I first receive a call from 9723499148 telling me I owe a balance to a company. This was true at the time but I had a call from another come before them .I found it strange at first. The voice on the other line instructed me to call 8776410469 within the next hour. I found this to be shady at the time . The only reason I called they knew my information. This is very scary someone knowing information about you take advantage of you. I call the number was told my balance and how much. I did give something up front but never finish paying. The company never call to claim the balance. I check thier website no address no pictures . They claim legal firm  . Never of this is true. Not bbb accredited .

Someone from this number called my father-in-law's home trying to get in touch with me. Called them back and they said if I didn't pay $600 that they would take out a civil suit against me and I had to settle it within the hour. The charges are supposedly for an old telephone account from 10+ years ago. Have not received any letters in the mail from this company,        
D C Financial, however they said they have mailed letters but I have not seen them. The Better Business Bureau has listed this so called company's rating as "F".

My Brother and My Parents received calls from this number.  They threatened and were ugly to my brother and they told my parents that they were wanting to serve papers for civil collections.  They first said they were CLS then referred to a case number and said they were with DC financial.  This has happened to a few people I know.  I called them back at the 2 numbers they gave and got answering machines with no msg. and a fake operator.  the numbers were 972-349-9148 and 877-641-0469.

A woman called my boyfriend about 2 weeks ago and threatened a lawsuit/garnishment, so he paid them a settlement on a bill from over 12 years ago.  Now he is getting MORE calls from this company and others saying they have a pending lawsuit, the sheriff is on his way, bench warrant issued and more.  The last call was yesterday from a company, who told him they are in Menlow, CA but when I look them and the number up online, that is the one place they are not.  Reports from this other company say they are a scam.  He is going to try telling them to send copies of the original bill to him, at the address they have on file, because they won't even tell him who the original creditor is.  Obviously they got his name and number from a recent credit application for a car, because the calls started within 1 week of us buying the new car.  The number they are calling is a fairly new number, that we just got for our business, so they can't have gotten it any other way.  Beware who you apply for credit with and make these guys prove that you owe them money.  Scammers are getting bolder and more numerous.  More information here:  http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-641-0469

SCAM - NEED TO STOP THESE PREDATORS!

This company called my 80 year old mother in law trying to find my husband. They said that if he didn't call within an hour, they were taking us to court. Of course she called me and gave me this number. I called and they were demanding that we settle out of court for a 10 year old bill from Sprint and Century Link. They wanted $600.

The problem was that they repeated back to me the last four numbers of my husband's social security number. I told them they were welcome to actually take me to court, and then I called Century Link. Century Link did not have any record of any open cases against us, plus they informed me that they could not prosecute for accounts oder than 7 years because of the statute of limitations. This is definitely not legitimate.

I have reported the issue to the Attorney General's office and I have put a freeze on our credit to protect ourselves. My main fear is the fact that they had some of his SS number and knew our address. I hope they can somehow be stopped.

Has anyone actually made a deal with this company not to be taken to court, like made arrangements to pay for the past debt?

My mother got a phone call today from this company.  She was told that the sheriffs dept would be out within the hour if I did not call back.  This was regarding a credit card debt from 2005.  

Does anyone know how I can report them for threatening my 72 year-old mother?

My son received a phone call that this financial company called for me and left me a message stating that they have filed a civil charge referencing my name. When I tried to reach this number; continually goes directly to voice mail. To my recollection, I have no business experience this company. They left a message that if I do not respond, that I will be served civil papers at my home front. This message was received on 12/17/13. Who are these people?

well this call you all are getting is from Ann Arbor MI,and the number they call from is 1-734-757-6133 And the same call DBS got was exact to the call i received , and this was where the call came from and and the number.

I just received a call from 877-641-0469. They identified themselves as a process server for the sheriff''s department. That a complaint had been made against "individual's name". Where they available?

I told them they had the wrong #. I was then asked if I knew or was a relative of said individual.
I told them they had the wrong number again and it was none of their concern who i know or don't know.

I was then informed rather nastily "Ma'am. .  We will only try to reach/serve "individual" twice. I would advise you to take this number down & give it to them immediately or else you will be responsible. Are you getting a pen and paper?" I did not respond. They started give me the number 877-641-0469 and then a case #. Then she said. .  "Now read it back to me so I can verify this has been served?" I did not say another word. . I hung up!

As with many previous comments here, my 85 year old mother and disabled sister were called and harassed yesterday (10/11/13)...I live 3000 miles away and they were asking for me!  Before calling the number, I did a reverse search online and could not find any info on it through the conventional whitepages.com or yp.com.  I read that AT&T is responsible for keeping the entire toll-free directory assistance info no matter what carrier has "sold" a toll-free number.  AT&T has been suing the FCC to let them out of this arrangement that was established long ago in the anti-trust/monopoly cases with A&T.  Meanwhile, the elderly, disabled, and others have to take these creeps phone calls, while AT&T will not provide any info as to who and where the company is located... Disgraceful.

These idiots keep calling my step mothers house. I just lost my father 3 months ago. It's pissing me off. They called 22 times.

these people need to be stopped. called my mother and told them they would issue a warrant on a bill that i had already gone to court about with another collection agency. so i called them and they said oh we will just take this off of our records. I am going to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. I would suggest others who have had this done to them do the same

Same call from the same number.  Said they were from the police dept. and needed to contact them within the next two hours or would be served. Total scam.

I was called from this number to ask if I were at home to receive a sherrif to deliver a summons.

I was told that this person was collecting and was serving me papers . They have been saying this every 5 months for past 3 years who Is it they don't say.

Someone who called me from this number threatened me.  Told me if I didn't call in 2 hours the police would be at my home at the 2 hour mark.  I tried to call and was told the number wasn't working.

called an ex threatening HIM if he didn't tell where i was for a 19 year old bill.
