I was calling a 800 number off of a legitimate business web site and got these guys instead. I did not give them my card info. i reported it to the business. They said they were out of Phoenix AZ. When I asked more questions I was hung up on.

we received $ 100.00 gift rebate card thru mail..we called to 1-877-684-2579 which was printed on that card,one of the guys name chris davis and supervisor name javon received call speaking in Asian accent,he is having very good marketing skills,told some stories to me,ur card selected randomly sir,we r going to give 100$ gift card for that we r charging 2.95$s,asked credit card #,first we have given our #,later we came to know it's fraud,they are cheaters,immediately we canceled that transaction,if u get such kind of mails or calls don't trust,give complaint to police,its big scam ,persons who involved in this scam must be punished

I just got a call from a 000-000-0000 number for the past 4 days finally I answered today and they told be the same thing i was told they were called BestSafe of Betsafe or something like that. The man became very frustrated with me when I continued to ask question. Thankfully I was googling this phone number. I do believe it is a scam. I was hoping it was not so but at seeing the first negative pieces of information I began to hang up. Also I was told the company was registered with Bank Of America and was out of Phoenix Arizona

I received a card in the mail with the phone number 1-877-684-2579 stating that they have been trying to reach me and that I had been selected to receive $100 in rebates to use at Wal-Mart and Target, so I called it.  Received Michelle Jones, she said she was with Your Benefits Shopping a promotional company, however, when I questioned her she gave me the 1-877-652-2168 number which I googled and found this.  As I asked her to spell out the website address, because I could not find it and all that I could find was that this was a scam, she proceeded to hang up on me.  In my case it was a small fee of $2.95.  I believe the women, supposedly, Michelle Jones, was of Asian decent.

They called me on Monday 02Jan12,  said they were from smart shopper and I had won a $500 gift card, redeemable at Wal-Mart or the like. All I had to do is just pay a - one time - fee of $4.95, and I would have it by this Friday.

They got me also. I finally got the packet and it wasn't anything free, of course, I should have known better. I tried and tried to call to cancel but could never get thru. I then called and cancelled my debit card before they got the chance to charge 65.00 to my card. Whew!!!   I hope it's over and I never hear from them. beware!!!

Amy, the same phone number called me and I am on SSI.  My rent is due and they tricked me into giving them my bank info. Well they got me alright! The problem is they took money out 3 times in one night and its labour day, so the bank is closed and believe it or not the prompts wont let me talk to a live person at the bank, not does it give me the option to put a hold on my account. I really dont know what to do now. Please if you read this give me some advice.

This is a scam.  They called my cell phone.  He told me I won $500 worth of coupons to use wherever I wanted on whatever I wanted.  I had won because I had used my Visa or Mastercard at different places.  (He didn't know which one.)  He kept repeating that I didn't need to give them any confidential information, that I had already given them that when I used my card for purchases. All I had to do to receive my coupons was give them my debit and/or credit card number, along with the expiration date for verification. There would be a small minimal charge of $4.95 for processing, but other than that, the $500 in coupons would be sent to me right away.
If anyone receives this call, do not give out any information.  They do not have this information already and are trying to trick you into giving it to them.  If you have received this call and gave them the information to "verify", please call your bank or credit card company immediately and let them know.
Luckily, I work with card fraud on a daily basis and knew what he was attempting to do.  He was very good.
