Got a text message from 877-662-2945 which read: Dade County Federal Credit Union. Please call immediately at that number regarding recent activity on your account. Thank You.  I do not have an account with them and I called from a land phone which was a recorded message saying to please enter my card number and exp date to remove the stop on my acct and could not talk to a representative.    Very Very sneeky.

Certainly a phishing message.

Contacted DCFCU and they replied back "these text are a scam? we are working in closing them out"

Same as all those other emails. Dont have an account with them.

DO NOT CALL. THIS IS A FRAUD. THEY WILL ASK YOU FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD # FOLLOWED BY YOUR PIN # I CALLED THE BANK IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT ENTER YOUR ACCNT INFO!!!!!

If you receive the following text message: "Please call the Dade County Federal Credit Union at 877-662-2945 regarding recent activity on your account. Thank you". Do not respond. This is the most recent scam going around. I called the credit union and the customer rep stated they've received numerous calls today. They're aware of the situation and have notified the police. There are several government agencies involved in the investigation.

I no longer live in the Miami-Dade area but kept my Miami cell phone number.  This morning I received a message similar to the one described above.  I am not affiliated with the Dade County FCU - definite "vishing" attempt.

I received a text with this number, asking me to contact for information on why my Dade County Federal Credit Union card was blocked. I do not have an ATM credit union card nor I am affiliated to a credit union. I called the real Dade County Federal Credit Union and inquired about "my account" and of course they could not find it!
