I just got a call from these guys, too.  Caller ID came up as no name with a phone number that was a few digits off my real land line number that they were calling.  I think this is a new twist to get you to answer.  I pressed 1 to speak to someone and it was clearly a newbie telemarketer.  I asked to not be called again and said that I was reporting to the Do Not Call registry (for a second time; I did not press 1 the previous time).

They called and said this is your credit card company and it is your "final chance" to lower your interest rate.  This company will  negotiate a lower rate (under 10%,single digits) with my credit card company. They asked my address and I said NO. They asked my Credit card number and I said No. BE AWARE!!! They said their company's name is SmartSolutions and their Website was down right now. hmmmmmmmm. I asked if they could hold, she said yes and then when I came back on SHE HAD HUNG UP!!!!!! BE AWARE!!!!!!Caller ID just showed 202-465-8878

Called to say my final chance for lowering my interest rate on my CC to 6.99%.  They gave some pitch about saving $1500 over the life of my account and any future accounts. They gave 2 company names: Account Member Services and Starmax Finance.

SPAM.  Called to say my final warning for lowering my interest rate on credit card.  Company called 'Client Services'.  Called me at work which CC companies do not have.  They say they work with HSBC, Chase, BofA, etc and those banks transferred my information to them.  The pitch was to lower my interest rate to 6.5%
