My call came from 909-259-5578 but the context of the call was the same. When I told her I didn't have a credit card (what she doesn't know won't hurt ME) she wanted ot know if there was anyone else that could help me. When I said no, she said she would call back later. LIke I am going to run out and get a credit card. That was at 11 this morning, it is 4:25 PM and I have already gotten 2 more calls from that same number. Thank goodness for caller ID! I did a reverse phone number search and the call came from Ontario, Canada.

They asked me what card i used but never asked about a card number.

I received a text from 888-424-8619 saying that I had won $100 dollars Gift Voucher from Wal-Mart.  I called the number and she asked me for my birthday to be used as a password to accept the gift when it was sent.  She asked me my profession and I told her I am student.  She said that I didn't qualify for the voucher because I didn't have a source of income. More like I don't qualify because I don't have money for them to steal!! THIS IS CERTAINLY A SCAM!!  This was just a little reminder to me to never give out my personal information over the phone!!  As you can see, they are changing their phone number periodically, so please, do yourself a favor and never give out your personal information over the phone!

Did you give them your credit card number or debit card number?  If you did call the bank and cancel the card right now.  

They will spend all of your money.  They will not send a gift card.

The 4.95 was taking out of my account twice so far and I never recieved my card or voucher.
I ended up canceling my card and when I tried calling them, but it says your call can not be complteted as dialed and hangs up.

If there had been a LEGITMATE voucher to give you - they would not have asked for shipping and handling.

Any business that wants to GIVE you something - they would have just sent it on to you

I bet the person that saying you do received a $200 walmart gift voucher work for the company. I'm talking about the person calling them self, "Me" Yea I know, Me gone rip you off if you send Me $4.95.

I received a megs. from this company also. When I started asking a lot of questons about the company I was disconected. This company is a scam. I called several times and no one knew anything about the company. But they been in the bussiness for a long time I was told.

And I bet Santa Claus and Elvis deliver it to the door as well.

Its not a scam. You do indeed get a viable $200 Walmart gift voucher. All you pay is $4.95 for S&H fees.

i think part of it is a scam..but it is from over seas..it starts to take out more money from your bank account..but im still not sure if the gift card part is a scam..

i received a call from Walmart,telling me I had won a $200.oo voucher from Walmart. All I had to do was pay for shipping and handling whic is $4.95 cent. Onlt take  charge cards visa masetercard or debit. i want to know if Walmart is really doing this or is this a csam to get  credit card numbers. Please reply asap. Thanks

I too recieved a message saying I had won a $200 gift card from walmart and they only needed my credit card to cover the $4 shipping fees. When I tried to ask more about their company and get additional info as to how I won this prize, the woman on the other end of the phone got very rude and lost her patience with me quickly. She then hung up on me. Gotta be a scam.

Definitely a scam. they said I won a $200 gift card from walmart. I had done some things for a gift card but none were for $200. They gave me a call back number when I said I wasn't interested. So also watch out for a number that goes 877-456-6289

Unlike the people who have been complaining about this possible scam, I have not received that text message.  But I was watching the local news on WDIV in Detroit and there was a report on a woman who received that message.  When Walmart told her it was a scam, she called the station to see if they could warn their listeners about it.  The station did some investigating into the issue and the jury is out: it is indeed a scam.  So beware.  As always, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually isn't !

This seems to be a scam. What's the old saying, "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true." Don't be fooled guys! If you can't confirm it, then don't trust it. Any company the size of Walmart would ensure that everyone knew about the voucher give-aways. In addition, has anyone tried calling any Walmart corp office to confirm this give-away?

got a txt msg from them.. called them.. gave them my amex credit card # and they took the info and said they couldnt process the request.. I asked for the manager.. he was rude. he started asking for a debit card.. and started talking rudely... i said i didnt want to give them my debit card info.. and they should have taken my amex if their system wasnt accepting amex. they said now their system didnt have my cc information coz amex doesnt keep any cc info. They said their company info was customer Rewards and they were giving out $200 walmart gift cards..
