These scumbags obviously have a computer program that allows them to 'appear' to make 'local' calls.  When they called me from a 'local' number (at my work no less), I questioned them about local landmarks, etc.  Guess what?  They had no f****** clue!  They are calling from New Jersey/New York and posing as law enforcement, lawyers, etc. to try and get your information.  All of which is against the law!  Do not talk to them or give them any money!  Contact the New Jersey/New York AG, the FTC and your local authorities if they are making threats against you.  I've been in contact with people that have been watching this group for some time.  They will be stopped and they will serve jail time!  Also, continue to spread your stories and help others.

When I was unable to make another payment a processor by the name Ashley Scott called to inform me that she needed an address to serve me because I didn't keep my arrangement and before I could response she said that I should call Huntington and try to make arrangements because once she serve these paper I'll have to appear in court scared I called spoke to mike telling him that I couldn't afford $144 every payday that I only work part-time and he stated that the State made those terms that they couldn't be broken or changed. I was overwhelmed I had never heard of a debt collector not willing to get payments of some kind!!! I don't have it so I GUESS I'LL BE GETTING SERVED! By the way that Ashley Scott called my cell phone 5 or more time before I spoke to Mike stating I'd been notified but after I spoke to Mike I haven't heard from her about serving me. I got a call today 5/1/12 from a Kate Adams very agressive lady.  She said she had some court papers to serve me and she needed to confirm my address to serve me.  She left me this 888-323-4465 to call back.  Crazy lady didn't even tell what it was for.  The thing that caught my attention was she used a Local phone number to call 432-242-5541 how crazy is that.

With you giving them information about yourself you should be checking your credit score often to see if they latched onto your accounts and are preparing a false claim against you  Scared or terrified,don't ever give anyone your private information UNLESS you called them and you know who you are talking to. AND YOU TRUST THEM

did you ever receive papers? Actually they called my brother because they do not have any of new information for me.  Saying the same thing, I am calling the FTC this morning regarding them.  Did you ever recive papers, and is it true?  These people are horrible.

Received a call from Brooke today, said I need to call 888-323-4465, about a sumons that they are trying to serve me. I said go ahaead and serve it. Brooke said call the number I gave you they need your address.. ARE you kidding me! ??? If you are going to sumons me you figure out me address.... Plus she could not tell me waht it was for!!!!!! what idiots.....

received a call from a man but unfortunately cannot remember the name said I had a summons to appear in court and he was trying to deliver it to me and if I didnt call this number 877-697-8919 I would be arrested.  Called the number and they told me I owed 350.00 from a payday loan back in 2007 and I had to pay it or I would be going to jail so like an idiot I gave them by debit card info, they got 75.00 but will get no more as I have contacted my bank and cancelled my card, thank God I did not give them my banking information.

I have been dealing with Vision Credit Solutions for a few months.  I notified my lawyer and he has tracked their information.  They operate under many names, so it makes sense that Megan or whoever the hell she is, has many aliases.  We are also working with law enforcement in New York to put an end to this collection group.  If you would like to share your story with me that would add more leverage to our case.

keeps calling saying there a company called huntington and that we owe for a bad check but they cant send any info to us. they want a credit card number or bank info.

we just got a call the guy said his name is james reed and that my husband wrote a bad check my husband fell for it and paid them 36.66 dollars and i stopped the payments if u can please let your attorney know they are still up to it. thanks

I received an ominous call from them early in the morning. They were very doom and gloom with lots of personal info, but they do not have it all. Don't give it to them. They are scumbag scammers trying to get you to repay a loan you didn't take out. They also seem very interested in all facets of your personal info. ID theft alert for sure.

I hope you file a complaint with the FTC and your local authorities.  The HP Group is illegal scum and they need to be stopped.  They have called my son's work and his home threatening arrest and lawsuits.  They refuse to provide validation and, like you, they have a lot of false info.  You're idea regarding ID theft is probably correct.

866-283-0994 is the number I was told to call tonight (12/30/10) on penalty of arrest.  Said they had a summons for me to appear in court and had been trying to reach me for 2 weeks.  When I called this number automated messaging said "HP Group" and to hold.  When a man answered, I asked him who he was looking for and what was this about.  I gave him the case number that I was given by the first caller (a very aggressive lady).  He looked it up and said, "are you Jane Doe?"  I told him I was not.  I was Jane Smith.  He asked for my last 4 social digits.  I gave them because by this time I'm mad and scared and determined to prove I'm not who they are looking for.   He apologized and said I wasn't who they were looking for but asked for my full name and if I had ever lived in Houston, TX.  They got my cell number by calling my son's cell.  So they had all kinds of info on me, but never asked for money.  I wonder if they are after identities as well.

Please, if you are reading this message, you know how bad the hp group is.  They are liars and cheaters trying to steal money from hard working people.  They called my 86 year old mother and claimed that she had taken out a payday loan and must repay THEM!  my mother is homebound and these people told her that she would be arrested if she didn't pay!!  She was so terrified I had to take her to the doctor.  Please if you are able, you need to complain to the proper authorities and government agencies.  This hp group must be stopped!

These scumbags try to hide behind their new 'website' claiming that they are first class debt collectors.  They will call your home, family and place of employment threatening all types of illegal actions...lawsuit, garnishment, summons, warrants.  These people are being investigated as I type.  They, along with they other New York scum, receive their just desserts.  If any of you has been called by the HP Group...don't pay them!!  Report them, or if you live in New York, file harrassment charges!

My inlaws got a call stating my husband has hot checks and they would like him notified that they are going to serve him with papers.  The "attorney" who sounds like he is maybe 10 years old, claims to be named James Shapiro.  Well, the Shapiro we know in Houston was disbarred about 8 years ago for fraud.  So, this guy made this name up.  Here is the interesting thing, we don't write checks.  Here is the other interesting thing, in Texas you don't sue in civil court for hot checks, it goes to the DA for criminal court.  This company broke so many laws today, and we have send a message over to our family lawyer, to look into legal ramifications against Mr. Shapiro, if he is even of legal age to prosecute.
