Got the same txt msg from two different 917 #s.  917 is a NY based number.  Called them... said that they are "Everyday Shoppers" our of Clearwater, FL.  Googled the company name - no such company! Asked them to call me back.  Called back from (402) 982-0644.  402 is a Nebraska number.  Spoke with multiple people there, all had a middle-eastern or Indian accent.  Thus I assume the calls are actually going off-shore via VOIP. So thats NY, FL, NB and overseas in one transaction.  They ask for credit-card info for the "Free" gift's shipping costs.  I wish the Feds would do something about this!!!  Not the first such scam I have received.

I just had a long battle with this ruthless scam artists. They got all my CC info address phone#'s from my wife and said they get all the over flow calls routed through American express. Which we found out was not true. Once they got all the info they went with their sales speech about $20 Walmart card and $50 in gas for only $2. There was no gimmicks and we will be billed $19.95 after 30 days. Once my wife heard that she said she was not interested in it and please cancel everything and we are not interested. They refuse to cancel so my wife said please do not call and take us of your calling list and hung up. Immediately they called back like 4 time and every time my wife old them don't call back and remove us from your calling list. Finally the 5th time when they called I picked up the phone and they insisted since my wife gave the CC # and all the info we agreed to their terms other wise why did my wife give the info to them. What a con artist. I told him I need some more info from him before I talk to him. He gave his name Don ( which he is not because looks like the calls were coming from call center in India and all the three people we talked to were Indian) The employee ID # he gave was A240521 which was the same for all three of them and the company name was Everyday Shoppers. I asked him how were they affiliated with American Express he tried to avoid to answer and insisted that the  gift card has been processed and I can not cancel it as my wife gave the CC info. I asked them even if we receive the card we do not want it and do not bill anything to my card. I asked him if they are recording the call, he said yes and then I said I am going to record the call from here as well. He went and got someone else on the phone acting as the verifying manager and told him the same thing that we are not interested. He said i can not do anything until he gives me the confirmation # and I need the confirmation # to cancel it. I said fine give me the # and I will give it back to you to cancel. Then he says I have to wait till I get the gift card. I asked my wife to get American Express on the other line and tell them about this crooks while they are talking to me. Once he heard that he hung up never gave me the confirmation #  and hung up and we never heard from them.
We talked to American Express and they said they will keep an eye on any transactions from them and dispute them. Thank you American Express

Oh my! So what happen.. did they take your info. Did you receive a package, I just receive a text on yesterday, I called them this morning. However, I'm smart.. so I play with them. I ask a million and 1 questions. I made him feel like I was excited, and about to give my info up. However I must say.. I was sort of tempted when I receive the text msg, because it came from a local number base in my City. I really thought they were giving out free gas cards. hehehe, then when he tempt to ask for my debt card number.. talking about it requires a 2 dollar shipping and handling.. I knew something was up. I asked how long will it take for my stuff to arrive, he said 2-3 weeks. LOL .. I'm sorry you were one of the ones to give your info up. I'm sure you called your credit card company to  handle this promble.

LOL That sounds about correct. I receive this text msg on yesterday right. I phone them, but it was a recording I left my name & number. I called the very next day, I spoken with a man that sounds the very same way you describing. I couldn't quit total understand everything. But I did under when he tempt to ask for my debt card info. This text wasn't concerning the Walmart card. This was about a free 50 dollar gas card, as well as to a 20 dollar shopping voucher. The text came from a local number from my state. Thats what got my attention. I thought it was from someone I delete out of my phone. The number they ask me to call was 1877-399-7793 .. BE AWARE EVERYONE! I came across they website trying to found Everyday Shoppers website.

You guys know what.. I just recent got a text concerning a free 50 dollar gas card & 20 shopping voucher from a place name.. Everyday Shoppers. The number I proceed to call was 1877-399-7793, I actually spoken with a real person. He attempt to ask me for my debt card info. I begin to ask him.. where are YOU located, do you all have a website, etc.. he answer the questions.. however he said that the website was in progress. LOL, thats silly. How in the world are you gas cards out to the world, and do not have a professional website build. That turn me off, I begin to tell him, I'm just not sure about this. I even told him that my debit card didn't have any funds on it. I asked him you still want that info. He says yes.. I just need to confirm. They were taking 2.oo off everyone card. He said it will not be taken intill 2-3 business days. I asked how long will it take for my free gas & shopping card to arrive.. he told me 2 weeks. LOL

I called my dental insurance company to discuss an issue. The call was picked up by this guy with a middle eastern accent who said the insurance company's line was busy and he wanted to tell me about a special offer.

He said his name was Wayne Watson EP ID # 29604 and he worked for Everyday Shoppers in Phoenix Arizona, 85032.  I was to receive a Walmart card for $20 and a gas card for $50. All I had to do was pay $2 for shipping.

Like an idiot, I gave him my cc#.

I would receive a packet in the mail with marketing materials for a shopping company for which I was to give my opinion. There would be a number to call to cancel the $19.99 service fee should I not wish to join.

Then I was transferred to a supervisor with an American accent who wanted to transfer me to a recorded line to give my information again. That's when I hung up.

I called the insurance company back and this time got through - they know nothing about this. Then Wayne called back. When I confronted him and told him I wanted to cancel he hung up on me.

I just received a message from these scammers. I called back curious to find out which website they were calling about. They told me they were Everyday Shoppers, in an accent I could hardly understand. I pressed the issue on what website the message was in reference to, and they simply hung up. I don't think I'll be hearing from them any time soon. My advice is always be suspicious. This is an obvious scam, others aren't so obvious. Don't give out any information to people or websites that seem kinda fishy.

I just got a call from them too. First of all, I could barely understand the guy and his East Indian accent. He specifically mentioned paying a $2 shipping and handling fee in order to obtain my free $20 Walmart giftcard and $50 gas card. I asked him how he got my number, and he said that his marketing firm obtained it based on my recent online shopping. I admit that I've recently signed up for a lot of freebies and coupons online, so it could have been anything! I asked him if he could tell me what specific purchase led him to me, and he couldn't. I didn't feel right about giving my credit card over the phone to someone I didn't know from Adam. When I told him this, he told me their company was called "Everyday Shoppers" and they were located in Phoenix, AZ. He gave me a "12588" employer number (that was supposed to make me feel better, I guess). He also said that when I received my giftcard, I would receive a pamphlet that verified the company's credentials. (Yeah, AFTER I give you my credit card and who knows what other personal information!) I asked if I could use a prepaid credit card (that I got as a rebate from another company) and he said no - his system wouldn't accept it. I said "Why not? It has a Visa symbol on it, says "debit," a regular-length credit card number, an expiration date, and a verification code on it. Just like a regular credit or debit card." He still said no. Finally, when I said "I just don't feel comfortable giving my credit card number to someone I know nothing about." He suggested that I call him back. I decided to open my laptop then and google the company name. I got nothing at first, which made me wary. I told him "I don't see any search results for you online." He acted miffed, and hung up. Then I googled "Everyday Shoppers, Phoenix, AZ" and got this site. Thank goodness for this site! I will use it all the time!

I recieved a call from a 1-516-453-6682 number and they told me the same thing. The man had a heavy middle eastern accent also and he said his name was Michael and his id number was 31531. He said that I had made a big purchase at either Walmart or K-mart recently and I was qualified to recieve a $20 Walmart and $50 gas card and I could use it any where in the US. He asked my name and said I would have to pay $2 when I recieved my gift cards. Then he asked would I be paying with a visa, master or discovery card. I told him I didn't have any credit cards. To make a long story short he kept insisiting I could use any card no matter the balance. I ended up hanging up on him cause he was talking to fast and didn't listena and it sounded like a scam. I am not giving my credit card info out to nobody that calls me from an unknown phone number. I agree I wish they would do something about this fraud, because somebody is going to fall for this mess. Aint nothing in the world free!!!!!!

I am sure they collect these phone numbers from people using sites like craigslist or autotrader where these scumbags post adds and try phishing people. If they don't suceed they try this other method after some time.
