So basically you are saying that you received a bill for $0.00 and instead of calling Comcast to find out why, you thought you'd get a free month.  When they corrected the mistake and you were late with your payment because you just happened to misplace the envelope, you got mad when they reminded you.  Next time pay your bill on time and this won't happen again.  P.S. I bet you Verizon wants their bills paid on time too.

Just got a vm from them claiming to be comcast. I verified my comcast acct online and I am current. They are not comcast... and for that, they won a position on my BLOCKED CALLER list... LOL

Got a call from this number on a "past due" Comcast balance.
I pay my bill on time every time .  This is bull s*** and harassment.  i wish my complex offered FIOS.

I spoke to someone the day before and explained that my bill is paid. Told them to stop calling since I have received several calls. So the next day they called 4 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All cable companies bill in advance.
Just like many things you buy over the net. they have a set service, and they promise you will get that service.
so they are permitted to charge in advance like you pay for rent.

But I am also getting this call as I did in February, but paid the final bill at local payment center 3 days late.
Comcast claimed my service was disconnected in December, and then again disconnected in January, but never was. I have called 2 additional times to get it all straighten out, and then they disconnect my online access 2 days later, I have not received any bills since February and service is still connected,

I have yet been able to get a call back from Eastern Accounting to find out why they keep calling me.

This is a fraud. They call and say your bill with comcast is overdue. I knew it was a lie because I have autopay and have already made a couple payments and they told me that sometimes autopay takes a couple months to go thru...at that point I KNEW it was a lie. Comcast will never call you and ask for your information like that.

I continue to get a call from Comcast every month.  I pay my bill on-line and I am current, but like clockwork they start to call 3 weeks before the bill is due - rec'd call 11/09, 11.10 and 11/12 for bill that is due 12/07.

What about when comcast is billing you for a modem that is your own....Yea, i'm getting collection letters for a modem that belongs to me!  comcast is the thief here, and have yet to accept responsibility.  Via telephone they are apologetic and say bill is cleared, but tell that to there uncommunicative equipment department that wants to steal my modem.  don't say contact customer service, been there, done that (a few times) idiots, probably based somewhere else in the world and don't care that they are trying to steal from litttle ole me!  My MODEM, stop sending collections for something that is mine morons!

This is from Comcast.  I received a call and voicemail at 7 p.m. this evening asking to give them a call back (it was a computerized message, not a live person). I also received a phone call from them earlier today around 3 p.m., same thing, left a message, and it wasn't a live person. I have until the 28th pay my bill, which is in one week, and I'm fully aware of when my bill is due.  I have made a few late payments in the past, but I'd say 95-98% of the time, my bill is paid early or on the due date.  I've never gotten a call from this number before and I wish they would stop calling me. I'm an adult and know when my bill is due and always pay my bill.

Hey, Anonymous, sorry to burst your bubble but I've called Comcast myself and they have told me that they do NOT know who you all are, why you're bugging their customers, and have instructed me to ignore your calls and not give you any info. Our account is paid up and always has been, so I suggest your "company" stop the harassment.

I actually work for this company, it is called Eastern Account System, we do pre collections work on behalf of comcast as well as take overflow calls for them.  Basically we have an automatic dialer that calls out to primary numbers on comcast accounts that are past due, if you dont pick up, we usually leave a message, if you do pick up, we just tell you ourselves.  

So since we only call the primary phone number on the account sometimes we'll try to contact people that haven't updated their information in awhile, and reach the wrong person by accident.

Comcast sends us the accounts to call, and you will get calls until you either pick up or call back (I think), so sometimes we get customers that have already made a payment, in which case we apologize for the inconvenience and move on.  Hope this clears some things up!

This is the number for a collections contractor working for Comcast.  As you might expect from the godless, greedy, stinking thieves at Comcast, they can't even keep track of payments made on a timely basis. I usually make payments online, which are acknowledged by an E-mail from Comcast, with the charge showing up within hours on my credit card, but they still lose track of the payment.  This is a recurring problem with Comcast, a deliberate strategy intended to make you pay twice plus a late fee besides.  REPORT THEM WITH A VERY ANGRY NOTE TO YOUR BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT CABLE OFFICE, AND THE NEAREST OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY. If your local newspaper has a Consumer Advocate, report Comcast to them as well.  Make a copy of the webpage showing receipt of the payment and the confirmation number, along with the confirming E-mail.  Complaining to Comcast's actual people via 1-888-COMCAST, usually results in their laughing at you, no apology of course, and rarely they will say "Oh, yeah, here it is, don't understand why it went to collections."  As one might expect, Comcast people are trained to have total contempt and disrespect for customers.  Which is why I got rid of them, paid the bill in full at a local Comcast office, got my receipt from the cashier, saw that the check was cashed, and they still can't keep track of the payment.  They also overcharge for an overrated Internet service, which is 2-3 MHz at best, but which they insist is 35 Mhz, another Comcast lie (trhey will give you the IP address for a website which says you are getting 35 MHz, but it is a rigged Comcast website intended to defraud you).  Talk to Direct TV or DISH Network.  If Verizon has real, no foolin' FiOS on your street, get that for a much better deal (I don't work for Verizon).

I received a call from 1-877-716-2436. The man I spoke with stated he was from Comcast and was calling about our account. We have not had an account with Comcast for 2+ years.and the account was closed with no monies owed. I questioned him about this call and he stated that it was "a computer generated call". He also stated that our number was not on an existing account. I question the validity of this call,   but I have no way to prove he was not a Comcast representative!

I just got a call from them too. They said my bill was late and they are collecting for Comcast. I JUST paid by bill and it wasn't overdue. The guy I spoke to, James said it must have been a "glitch" in the system and to disregard the call. AGGRAVATING!!
