They have called me a number of times today.  I called them and told them that I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, they said that they are an accounts receivable company and hung-up on me.  They latter called asking for different names, none of them mine.

they have been calling me for days. they hang up after I tell them "no one by that name here, don't call agai_______" 2 calls today at this point. they have also left me voicemails of their heavy breathing, but they say nothing.

I keep getting this calls on my cellphone and i have toll THEM  many times that they have the wrong number but this DUMB-NUTS KEEP CALLING PURE Harrassment

My husband keeps getting calls from this number on his cell phone and he always ignored them thinking it's some credit agency... today he picked up just as he did one other time and all he got was Beethoven-ish music and at the end of 30 seconds, they hung up.  I kidded him that maybe this is like that silly movie where you hear your death on your phone- I told him he was gonna have "death by Beethoven" ... ha so strange!!!

this number just called us asking for my husband and then saying they wanted to talk to him about his experience at a certain college which he never went to. it was very odd

This number has appeared on the CID record on my phone a few times recently - indicating a call with no message left.  I just now answered and there was a pause, followed by some cheezy jazz piano music, then no music but the sound of someone moving, the phone hung up.  Creepy.

These folks have been calling me twice a day almost everyday for 6 months.  I just ignore the number.  But now they have started calling each of my elderly parents twice a day several times a week as well. The callers claim that I have listed my parents as a job reference and that they need additional information.  (lies) My mother actually talked to a human being whom she told not to call her again- but they continue to call her!  Harassing elderly parents in order to pressure a debtor- sounds like the mafia instead of a legit business.  Are they going to start threatening my children next?!?  This company- Van Ru, has been reported by hundreds of people, yet they are still allowed to do business- Incredible!

Starts with music, then is a recorded message saying it is for (my name) only, if I am not (my name) hang up.  Then they say it is about an unpaid debt.  I am supposed to call.  Then they start the number for most times the call is cut off after 877-719...but just once I got the last four numbers and entered it on-line to see who this was.  Never heard of them.

As I know I have no unpaid debt, figure this is just some kind of scam.

Asked for a person with the last name as mine but a different first name. Told them they didn't live there and to not call again. And asked why they wanted this person. They said they gave our number as a reference for a college. So according to the other posts the guy was lying. But they never called back.

The caller from 877-719-1905 at 9:04 PM (Illegal call) was extremely rude when asking if I was someone the apparently were trying to reach.  When I said that I wasn't, they hung up.  Called them back and got someone who claimed to be Sam Ruball stating that they were a financial organization.  When questioned why they hung up like that his comment was just "if you weren't the one we were calling, what's the problem?"  When I advised them of their illegal calling time and that the matter was going to be forwarded to FTC, he hung up.  These guys are sheisters and should be reported to not only the FTC but also to your local phone company's "harassing call" department.

Same comment as jerry..am and pm calls and mine are followed by a call id'd as unknown caller.  I simply unplug my phones which turns of VM.

I was called 3 times in morning and 3 times at night everyday.
He or she just leaves no-voiced message.

Called three times in a row in a span of 1 hour.

Today I got a text message, instead of voice as before and above, from these scumbags.  The message said only, "Please call."  My theory is that this is a company charged with assessing a gullibility index to the people they call:  i. e. seeing if you'll wait for an operator when you don't know what you're waiting for, or calling back just because you're told to.  The theory, taken to its logical conclusion, would give a high score to fools who play their games and a low score to people who hang up or don't ever bite on their nonsense.  These telemarketer helpers are the same quality as a sticky little green bugger you pick from your nose when no one is watching, and just as hard to get rid of.

I've received dozens of calls from this number to only my cell phone, a Sprint number years old.  Once I answered and a recording said, "All our operators are busy, Please wait..." so I figured it was a telemarketer.  Tonight I answered again and a real person was there, asking for someone I don't know.  When I said it was a wrong number, the man asked if I knew where to get in touch with the person he was seeking.  It sounded like he was playing a game to keep me on the line as long as possible.  Too bad our phones don't have a button to vaporize someone who calls and does stuff like that.

Same as first comment here -- several calls, last one left a voicemail consisting of an old Beatles song ("Love me do") in its entirety.  Another one started to play after this one finished but the voicemail system cut it off. Maybe I would've gotten the whole Beatles collection?  Crappy low-fi of course but still...

Anyway, it's a new cell # I'm getting these on. One thing I figured out is I can set my ring tone to "no sound" so it doesn't disturb me when calls like this one come in, even if it does pick up an odd voicemail.

Some people (maybe some automatic dialing equipment?) have far too much time on their hands apparently.

I had a call from this number and the lady said she needed my wife.  When I told her she was not at home, she left the number to call back with ext#3053.  All she would tell me is that this was a business matter.  Then she became insistent that they needed her right away and wanted another phone number in which she could call her immediately.

I have numerous calls made to me from this number. The call always begins with a music track from an unidentified soft rock band. The quality of the music is similar to music you hear when your call is put on hold. I first thought it was an automated call from some company trying to sell me something. Now I am not sure. The music ran for about 30 seconds then the call disconnected.
