anyone know who this is?

Both my husband and I received text messages stating that our "Golden Circle Credit Union" card has been deactivated, and to call 877-733-7240 to reactivate the card.  We have no 'cards' with this company.  We figure is was some kind of cell phone spam.

thank you for the info, the text message my wife received was similar, only it used the bank "American 1 Credit Union" and said her card was deactivated.  We called the number and it is just a weird recording that gives you only two options:  to enter a new pin number or to enter your 16 digit card number for reactivation, needless to say that is very fishy since the bank should already have that information.  THESE ARE PHISHING TEXT SCAMS and everyone needs to know.  NEVER give your credit card information or personal information over the phone or internet. If you are worried about your card, call or visit your local bank branch FIRST.
