They have a better chance of scamming you if they get a chance to talk to you directly instead of leaving a message. Don't answer.

Just got a call from this number. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. I have to wonder how they got my number and why they are calling?

Got a call from this number at 9:40 at night. They said something about my Visa debit card being deactivated and wanted me to give them my card number to re-activate it. I doubt it's a legitimate call. I just hung up. I wouldn't give them the info they ask for if you get a call.

Got a recorded message perportedly from a bank telling me to push 1 to give them information so that my bank account wouldn't be blocked. I don't have an account with this bank and unfortunately I don't remember the name of the bank, since it was 7:30 am and the call woke me up.
