A friend I haven't talked to in years (7-8 years) called me today to tell me Michael, Michael Green and Associates has been calling him several times in the past few weeks to get in touch with me as they are in the process of placing a bench warrant and I also have a court case number. I called the number and asked for information and they refused to talk to me unless I gave them my SS number! They continued to verbally threaten me about the court process and such. This all raised red flags so of course I googled the information and found them to either be a scam and phishing for information and/or something to do with Pay Day loans. I have never had one of those. So, I have not called them back but I did call my local court system and explained and they told me not to worry but it did sound like a scam and to NEVER give out personal information. If it is legit, they will have all the information they need, you will just confirm it. I also contacted my police department and had them check if I had anything like bench warrants and there wasn't. I explained what happened and they took a report and also told me a lot of this kind of phishing/scams is going on and to be on the lookout!!

They called me for a friend. I just got this number and no one has this number. They asked if i knew a friend and to have him call back. Im gonna wait for another call and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Crazy!!  I just got this same kind of message on my phone yesterday, I totally thought I was in trouble as I ran a red light several weeks ago lol but thank you for informing me.

The person said that I was being issued a court summons for something and if I don't contact and pay that a bench warrant would be issued that would end in my arrest. I could have sworn that they have to issue it in writing though right? Anyway I just reported my message to the authorities and hope no one else gets taken advantage of.

PLEASE BEWARE** There is a group of scammers threatening to be court officers and /or law enforcement calling people saying that there is a court summons out for you and to resolve not having a bench warrant issued to pay a supposed debt which is fabricated.

DO NOT LISTEN OR GIVE ANY INFORMATION OUT TO THIS EXTORTIONIST GROUP!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME AND THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM LEAVING A MESSAGE. They are getting better at "sounding" legal, but quite the contrary.  Aside from having the number format for municipal court filing all messed up, i'm not one to fall for this disturbing scam.
