I never got any phone calls from anyone...they just appeared on my phone bill!  I called the # that was listed for them on my phone bill and canceled the "membership" that was supposedly signed up for online.  When I asked for the credit back on my phone bill, they REFUSED claiming that they had a VALID APPLICATION from me for their services.  Said that the information on it would be stuff that only I would know....what a crock!  You can hack into virtually any database and get someone's name, address, phone # and e-mail address.  Where they screwed up tho, is I'm not an ignorant woman, I know how to get the IP address off my computer and the IP address that they provided as mine, wasn't!

Consumer ComplaintsThe Attorney General?s Office accepts complaints from citizens on a large variety of consumer matters, such as insurance, cars, health care, banking, credit, utilities, debt collection, mortgages, charities, scams, and many more.  If you have experienced a consumer problem, we want to hear from you!  Reports from citizens serve two purposes:

First, if you are having trouble resolving a problem on your own with a particular business, we may be able to assist you.  When you file a consumer report with our office, we will contact the business on your behalf if we think we may be able to assist you in getting the problem resolved.  We call this process ?mediation.?  When we receive your complaint, we will review it and determine what assistance we may be able to provide to you.  In some cases, we may also assist you in locating other government agencies that can best address the problem.

Second, reports from citizens help us to identify potential violations of Minnesota law and new problems occurring in the marketplace.  In some cases, reports from citizens may help us build lawsuits against companies that we determine have violated our state?s laws.  In other cases, your reports may help us educate the public about emerging scams or problem areas.

If you have questions about whether you should send us a report about a particular business or would like our assistance in filling out our Consumer Report Form, please call our Telephone Hotline at (651) 296-3353 or 1-800-657-3787 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Please remember that we are not authorized to give legal advice to or act on behalf of individuals citizens in private legal matters (e.g. wills, child support, divorce, criminal proceedings, etc.)  If you need assistance in contacting a private attorney, click here.

They did this to me and I am more than happy to see them end up dead in the water. Sending to both States Attournies in Nevada and Minnesota I suggest everyone do the same.

I also had the same problem. Somehow the "www.instant411.net" company which is based in MN and OAN which acts as the "innocent" billing company (which it may be). Funny, they initiated service on July 7, which is the first day of my AT&T local bill cycle. By the time this is detected, there is another charge on August 7 for the second month this un-ordered service.

I called the number listed on my bill which is OAN. After I gave them my name and number, they said that the order was listed made by "Grace De Leon". What galls me is that this or any company has the ability to cram charges onto our local phone bill without prior authorization.

SLEAZY company "OAN Services" - attaches charges to your phone bill...  Unlimited 411.. .for only $15.70 per month!!!

Cancelled the service I never ordered and certainly didn't authorize.  Called AT&T and reported them, cancelled unwanted service again via AT&T and resinded payment, since I'm sure the SLEAZY company will "accidently" lose my cancellation order.
