Not sure how they got my number since I'm on magic jack and only give the number to family but they keep calling and hanging up. I have never been able to talk to anyone as to why they are calling.

I keep getting this number showing up on my phone for the last month. I have not called it back after researching it on the internet. Can't somebody do something about this. I am on the do not call list too.

The message says it is MCS, but when I called back they answered Monterey Financial.

They called for a debt I settled 5 years ago. Now they want to ignore the statute of limitations as well. Now they want to bully me into paying them for money they don't even deserve.

When I told them they exceeded the CA statute she hung up on me.

A "broad" named Tessa called my offices in Scarborough asking to speak to our president, whose name she did not have.  Only identifying her self as Tessa from MCS she would not provide the details pertaining to her call.  She repeatedly suggested that he contact her urgently about a very pressing matter. And would not afford me the opportunity to speak.
A day later she called again and accused me of not relaying the message.  I told her I gave our president the message but that he said he didn't know what it was about and that I should find out if she called back.  We several unsolicited, sales, phone calls a day that can be fielded by me personally, but because these sales people have a name on their files, they refuse to let anyone else help them.

When I fielded her call again, Tessa became insulting and began harassing me about not giving the original message to our president. I tried to explain that if she identified who MCS was and what the call was regarding that perhaps someone else int he company could assist her. He response was that it was none of my business since I just answered the phone and that I should do my job and pass on the message as she instructed.  When I asked her to pelase check her tone, and identified myself as the Office Manager and Senior Construction Administrator her reply was oh, a glorified receptionist.  Quit asking questions that don't concern you and just give Mathew the message or he is going to regret it.

Hack!! Troll!!!  MCS has an "F" rating with the BBB in New York.  They use illegal collection tactics.   Threats of legal documents to serve.  They have no legal documents.  Call an attorney who handles abusive debt collectors.  They take these cases on contingency.   Thay only get paid if you win.

I have been getting calls from this number and i dont know anything about this comnpany and why they are calling me a thousand times.I dont owe anybody or enyone.And i do have a lawyer looking into this problem

So you know that they are actually scammers then, since the account was paid in full years ago.  If they refuse to send the debt validation letter proving you actually owe this debt to them, you can ignore them - a legitimate agency would have no problem mailing you this information, which is required per the FDCPA.  Report the call to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  Just because someone calls and says you owe a bill does not mean it is a legitimate claim.  Many shady collections agencies call people trying to collect on debts that are either non-existent, have already been paid (as in your case) or are outwith the statute of limitations for collections in your state.

Again, if they refuse to mail you proof that you owe this debt - let them know you've reported them and that you will be recording all calls they make to you in reference to this for violations of the FDCPA.  If they do send something in the mail to you, please make sure you send them a letter disputing this debt and stating that the only communications they can have is via mail.  Send the dispute letter certified mail/signature required/return receipt requested, so you have proof they received this. Make sure your certified mail receipt # is written on the letter somewhere.  Keep a copy for your files too.  Bottom line - they're fishing in the dark, trying to extort money for something you already paid.

Received a call from this company.  They said I owed over $400 on something that I ordered over 10 years ago and since the account was not paid, the account has accrued .07 cents a day in interest.  I know this account was taken care of and paid in full.  I asked several questions as this has puzzled me.  It concerns me that the person I spoke to was able to give me my current address and old address.  I asked him to mail me more information about this account.  The rep was very rude.  These people need to realize I am a single mother of two children and I have to make choices like whether to pay the light bill or buy groceries.  I go to work everyday as a waitress to try to make ends meet, but still fall short each month.  The people at MCS-Scammers-R-US need to get an honest job and quit trying to take what I try so hard to maintain for me and my kids.  I don't have much and have nothing to give to crooks.

I am being haunted by this phone no.  -  I do not owe money to anybody and am getting quite upset with their calls - which I never do answer but it obviously does not deter the caller.

I KEEP GETTING CALLS AT 8AM EVERY AM.  I LET THE ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THE CALL.  THE MESSAGE SAYS"BY ACCEPTING THIS CALL I AM ACKNOWLEDGING THAT I OWE A DEBT.  THIS IS NOT TRUE.  I OWE NO ONE.  THE COMPANY CALLS THEMSELVES  MONTEREY.  I HAVE ALSO RECIEVED CALLS FROM THE SAME NUMBER UNDER THE NAME OF MCS.  

HOW DO I STOP THISCALL.  I KNOW IT IS A SCAM TO GET INFO OR CREDIT CARD  SO THEY CAN DRAIN MY BANK ACCOUNT.  ANY HELP AVAILABLE OUT THERE??

This # is MCS a collection agency. Just doing their job. I spoke with Alisha, she was very understanding. I made arrangements to pay my debt.

Caller named Susan left a voice message our main office line sayng that I really needed to get in touch with her regarding a financial matter CashCall.  Very nasty and rude message to be left on someone's work phone when other employees have access to retrieve messages.  I find it very interesting that all of these calls start coming around the holidays!!!  Shame on Susan and her gang of idiots!!!

This is a collection agency who must have as a requirement to be employed that you are either a malicious bi***, or a sadistic prick.  I was on call for work so half asleep I answered and this woman immediately began the rudest speech and yelling at me.  Since I pay my phone bill I hung up on her only to have another male call back in less than 5 minutes.  Thank God you can block calling numbers on cell phones, they just got the big block.

Collection Agency. Usual jerk on the other end threatening me. Told him to have fun with that and hung up.

Yep... I just started getting numerous calls from this same number (877-775-3091) and it said it was MCS and to talk to a live representative call them back... I will not... I researched it and everyone says the same thing - it's a scam and that they are rude.  So glad I thought to research it before calling them... I never answer calls from toll-free number.

I have been getting calls from them in the last week.  They are a debt collection service that tries to intimidate you to give them money/payment on old or outstanding accounts.  They purchase old accounts and past due accounts and attempt to make money on them by collecting from you.  This is how they make money.  If the account is past the collection date in your state you do not have to pay it.  There can still be a note on your credit account but that is something you can take up with those real agencies.  Not some shady collection intimidation!  
The account they were calling about was from 11 years ago and was a fraud account that I could never get resolved because the original company went out of business.  After researching my state credit laws I discovered they cannot call me and I do not have to pay anything to them.  I can petition the credit agencies to remove any remarks older than 7 years off of my credit report.  
You do not have to take abuse from anyone.  You are allowed to politely tell them not to call you.
I just called them and told them that they had an incorrect phone number.  If they do not stop calling I can report them to the FCC.
Do your research!  You do not have to be harassed!

They are still at it. The call was from 760-639-3500. The message said they are MCS and gave me 877-775-3091. We don't owe anybody.

I used to get phone calls from a cosmetics company for the previous owner of my cell phone number. She apparently owed them money. This is probably connected to that.

I made MCS a contact and made their ringer "silent".

you call a few x's a week and i'm sick of it. I pay extra to not have my number published. How in the world are you still calling and I should get all my money back from the last...what....10 years at least back cause these people are getting through and like I said I pay extra so my number is not published!!!!!!!!

This MCS has been calling my home for 4 month now, it's a computer call, and said it's "important matter". They call at least 3-4 times a week, I already reported this number but it didn't stop. I don't know what to do with it, really disturbing.

I've had about 20 phone calls from this number to my home phone and I don't owe anyone. I'm working with a company to look into my credit but no collectors are anywhere on my credit. I filed bankruptcy this year so they'll get his number. I'm reporting all of these numbers because these people are tactless and harassing.

Have had several calls from this number, most of the time they call when I'm not home.  They just say they're from MCS and no additional information.  I don't have any past due accounts so they are not trying to collect any money that I owe them.  How do these people get your number when you are listed on the "no call" list?

Monterey Financial is a SCAM!   DO NOT ANSWER!   PUT THEM ON CALL BLOCK!  REPORT TO F.C.C.

I have no reason for this company to be calling me.  My 40 year old son has an outstanding debt, but is in Afghanistan.  When told that the rep. got nasty, and told me to stop insulting his intelligence.

got this msg again from MCS..... think they call about 3 times a day...... i finally called back and asked what they were calling about.....
the information that they told me was SOOO incorrect i have now reported them. first they had the wrong name (name they were refering to is not me), second the guy was VERY rude, and snappy towards me when i told him he had the wrong number. he accused me of lying.... saying it is VERY odd how i responded to the name he was saying they have been calling..... which to me is weird as what does that even mean?!
if they keep calling..... think i will block their number.
