Have Received multiple phone calls from 1-877-778-2578.  Each time the call is answered either in person or answering machine, call disconnects.  Very disruptive as it occurrs at all hours of the day or night.

Got a call from 1-214-717-6789.  They told me they were from Bell and that I won a draw for a free top of the line samsung.  Was insistent on getting personal information.  I insisted that I call Bell first to verify the caller.  

He gave me this number.  Nobody answered.  And it is not a Bell number.

at least 10-12 times in the last month. call back and I got 3 rings and a dial tone.

So I called it and the recording said it was the NW campus of Edge high school on North Condor Way  Seems bogus after everyone else's comments.

Received a call the same as Lisa (I can't receive "exciting" offers if I remain on the do-not-call list).

Called DirecTV and it is not them.  This is a spammer/phishing call.  Do not press any buttons and do not give any information.  Hang up and report to the FCC (use this link: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475.cfm).

Over the last week, I have received numerous phone calls from 1-877-778-2578 and they all hung up or there was no one speaking on the other line when I was listening.  Tonight, I received two phone calls from this number, and the second time, a pre-recorded voice said it was Directv and they know that I am on the "do not call registry" therefore I cannot receive exciting offers from them.  But if I press "1", I can be removed from their do not call registry.  Of course, I hung up.  I am calling the company asap to report this to them.

I got the same Directv call about "We know you are on the do not call list" on Sept. 24.

I have received several calls.  They hang up when you answer, so upon calling the number back it asks if I want to be off the do not call list.  When I called Directv of course they said they knew nothing about that number and they said it was not them.

Hmmm...I just read somewhere where Direct TV paid millions of dollars in fines back in 2005, for multiple violations of the "Do Not Call" Registry.

I got this call and answered it and it was for direct tv. have to listen carefully as if you are on direct tv's do not call list it is asking if you want off of the do not call list.

Called twice 9/21/07, around 5:00 and 6:45 pm EST

Called and hung up as soon as answering machine picked up. No info on this caller available on the internet.
