They have been calling members of my extended family around the country stating they need to find me as part of an investigation, giving 1-877-782-3578 and a case number which I should call. I called them today, and yes, it is relating to a valid PD loan debt from several years back, one I have honestly never received a single piece of mail on. The rep, Nathan, told me they can not send me a debt validation letter, that the only documentation they can send is proof of payment if I pay them in full today, or if they have their "server" serve me with court papers for fraud. I told him that I will be reporting his company for refusing to provide me with a letter validating this debt, and he then wished me luck in court and disconnected the call.

Call my phone 100 times a day, I really don't care. It's a joke of a collection agency that is not even real. Ignore it and block the number. That simple.

Oh really? You had a PDL and totally forgot about it? Must have been a stressful move. If you don't mind me asking, what was the name of the company that made this legit call? What was the name of the group you cleared it up with

I got a called from this number and it was in fact a legit call. A few years ago I took out a loan with check into cash and then moved. Went thought some personal stuff and totally forgot I even had it out. I have since got it cleared up with them.

First of all, REAL process servers NEVER call you ahead of time! The calls to your cell phone, boyfriend's phone and employer? Illegal tactics designed to embarrass you into paying some bogus debt. Also illegal - refusing to identify the company she's calling for, or sending the debt validation letter to you, which is another violation of federal law (the FDCPA). Please do report your caller to the FTC, FCC, FBI and your state's Attorney General. Again - real process servers - just like real cops - do not call to give you a heads up they'll be coming to visit!
You may also want to tell her that you're recording all calls she makes to you - and do so. Advise her that the FTC, FCC and FBI have been alerted and that she's been outed as a scammer. Whatever you do -do not pay her - or you'll find yourself getting calls from more scammers.

And she keeps calling my cell phone, boyfriends phone and employer
| HY 2014-01-18 09:03:02 Unknown |
she called back and left a message saying she verified my place of employment address and has a claim number. Still never says who she is with.

Scammer - if she was legitimate, she would already have your address. If she calls again, demand that she mail a debt validation letter showing you owe a debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to do so is a violation of the FDCPA and per that act, you should NOT pay them. And please do report your caller to the FTC, FCC and your state's Attorney General.

Calls from 985-224-0390 states her name is Jennifer Wright and there was a claim submitted to her office and need to get an address to serve me papers. She doesn't say the name of the firm and leaves 877-782-3578 as a call back number.
