These people never stop. Every time I pick up the phone (my cell phone) to this number, I have to scream hello at least three times before i get someone on the other end to say anything TO ME. It sounds like a call center because of the backround noise. The "person" spoke niether French or English. From what I could understand they were calling on behalf of SEARS CANADA as their insurance company for perfered customers. Aren't we ALL "perfered customers"? They said it to replace stolen or damaged products. You get 2 months free coverage as long as you keep a zero balance on your bill. The number seems to change every month or so which keeps you on your toes if you try and avoid these people. I'm calling sears to complain so well as this. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is BMO Mastercard - very annoying, especially when they call your cell phone.

I called the number 877-277-5901 (menu option 5)and asked why they were calling me since I was on the DNC registy. Their system was down, so I had to call back in three hours to remove my name. I said that sounded suspect, because they should be able to manually record my name/number and remove it later. When I asked why they were ignoring my DNC status, they said even though I was on it, they still might call me. I said that was nonsense and asked if I could speak to their manager. I went into Hold limbo. So I filled a complain on line at the Do Not Call Registry in Canada.

Getting twice a day from this number. No messages, I picked up once but just heard silence....

My number is already on the no call list; I believe there is legislation against spamming no call list number. These bastards are working around the system by floating the number from company to company, making it impossible for us to track.

Got two calls from this number in the last week. Each time they ask for someone that doesn't live here. I tell them that, and they applogize, but they call back. Not sure who is calling, but next time I will ask.

Just called again @ 10:40 AM Saturday morning. No message on VM.

Yes, get this number several times a day, for the last week or so. I have only answered it a few times, but as soon as I answer it disconnects a moment later.

got a few calls from this number, called it back from a gov't proctected number that no one can trace, oddly enough when you dial the number in, it doesn't ring through.. and i called it a few times with the same thing.. they must have caller id and be waiting for you all to call back to trace you...

I am now using a computer modem with CallerID feature and program called PhoneTray Free (phonetray.com)to zap these annoying telemarketers after 1 ring
I just add the new numbers to my personal call list as they call me and bye bye telemarketers.
Works well with my existing phone answering machine which answers calls after 5 rings

This number comes up at RMH and same thing - no one answers -  I am sick to death of these phone calls - we changed our answering machine to Spanish and now we get a lot of ...."what the????" messages and then they hang up - serves them right.

These people have been calling me for the last week, they call about 4 - 6 times a day.  I'm getting so sick of this crap. How stupid can they be, if I wanted to talk to them, I would have answered.  Get a clue idiots!!!!!!!!

I have been getting calls from this number at all times of the day and night for quite some time now. It would appear I'm not alone....SO WHY IS THIS A -HOLE STILL CAPABLE OF DOING THIS? AREN'T THERE LAWS AGAINST THIS SORT OF THING...I BELIEVE THE TERM IS HARASSMENT.

I answered the phone, said hello and they hang up called back the number only to be told please dail the toll free number given and a associte will be happy to help you, who are you and what toll free number???

Please help as to who is calling ....

they said: Thank you for being with Bell Canada. Are you satisfied? Which services are we giving you? We give you new options free, bla bla bla...

Been getting lots of calls from this number as well, person on the other end said they were with NCO, which is a collection agency located in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Have no idea why they were phoning, never had anything go to collections, never will.

This number calls my house 2-3 times per day.  I am so anoyed that I just pick up and hang up..  Im going to look into my home phone provider adn see if I can get these annoying numbers removed from my call list.

I've been getting calls from this number for the last 2 weeks atleast 4-6 times a day. Some have been at 8:00am and others close to 9:00pm. I picked up once said they were calling from HBC credit card regarding some sort of promotions. I called the # back and it says please dail apporicate number given to you and an asscoiate will be happy to help you.

Noticed on my caller ID, did not answer - late March 2008.

Thank God for call display!  When I'm at home and I see any 800, 811, 822, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888 or 899 number I either just don't answer or I pick up and blow a whistle into the phone and hang up.  Some of these pricks call multiple times every day so when I'm out, to give my cat some peace and quiet, I just turn my ringer off.

This number is particularly bad as they call every day, sometimes several times per day (1-877-784-6560).  What ever happened to good old junk mail that they used to send that made really good kindling in the fireplace?

I wonder if anyone has done a study yet on the kind of stress/annoyance these sorts of calls create for people.  Maybe I should get a government grant, a 1-800 number and start calling people with a survey to find out.  lol!

I've been getting this caller every night around 8:30p for the past week. If they're that insistent on getting in contact with me, why not leave a message? It's getting to the point of harassment.

I have been getting these calls for about a week now. I finally got fed up and called the AT&T operator. While on the phone, we both did a Google search of the number and found this forum listed third. The operator talked to one of her service techs and found out that the owner of 877-784-6560 leased the number from a company called allstream locateed in Manitoba, Canada. Their number is 866-282-0111. (Toll free) I called them and filed a complaint. The gent I talked to was very polite although he couldn't give me a name. I think if everyone calls Allstream and files a complaint with them, maybe some action will be taken. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB.

Getting calls from this number almost daily in recent two months. I have no idea who they are and what they want - just feel sick when it rings again. Who can help me block it?

The number 877-784-6560 is starting to call my place now, nime times today. There is no reason why 800 type numbers should be unlisted and I for one will ask CRTC  to make it illegal to have unlisted 800 numbers for this reason. We can also buy telephone zappers. It will destroy incoming call but not your telephone, who cares if we blow away the Allstream network.

I've been getting these calls for a couple of weeks now. Usually about 3-4 times a day.  They are either an autodialer set to hang up on answering machines or a telemarketer knowing nobody will call back if they leave a message. It is interesting reading all the posts above and the different companies represented by this mystery number. :)
