To receive the cruise voucher you must attend a very high pressure 90 minute sales presentation, they almost won't let you leave until you purchase the way overpriced travel club membership.  Don't go unless you can hold firm and not easily sold.

Many of the Wyndham resorts are offering the same vouchers for attending their 90 min presentations, also very high pressure sales.

I go to these all the time and get free stuff, I tell them I only came for the free gifts and let me go they will never sell me unless cows grow wings and fly, it works! Although one sales rep tried to convince me cows did fly, and won't not give up.... 5 hours later I got my vouchers...

I got an offer from US Airlines (non-existent) for a free Carnival Cruise. This was the phone number printed on the offer.

I got the exact same thing today.  Your name and address are NOT hand written on the envelope at Tony claims- it is printed buy a computer (look closely!).  The back says, "you are responsible for Port Charges, taxes, customs, agency fees, and fuel surcharges."  It also lists my cabin # on the "boarding pass" but when you look at the official Carnival Cruises website for the layout of the ship "Conquest" the cabin number is totally bogus.  The is NO "US Airlines- Fly the US Skies."  Whole thing looks like a major scam and should be reported!

Just got my "voucher" in the mail with the following fine print:

"You will be given a certificate valid for two aboard Carnival Cruise lines for eight days. Airfare is not included. Certain travel dates apply. A minimum of ninety days advance notice is required to process your reservation requests. Travel over major holidays is not permitted and some restrictions apply. At the time of reservation, recipient is responsible for any applicable port charges, government taxes, custom fees and agency fees associated with this cruise. THIS PROMOTION IS NOT SPONSORED BY OR AFFILIATED WITH CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES, BUT THEY ARE A MAJOR SUPPLIER. ATTENDANCE AT A NINETY MINUTES SALES PRESENTATION FOR A TRAVEL CLUB IS REQUIRED. Age, income and cohabitation requirements apply. No rain checks. Carnivale reserves the right to reinstate fuel supplement for all guest up to $9 per person per day in the NYMEX oil price exceeds $70 per barrel. No purchase necessary."

Probably not necessary to type out the whole thing, but I really do appreciate people posting about these scams. I seem to be a magnet for them.

THIS IS A SCAM. There is no such air carrier called "US Airlines." There is US Air and United Airlines but "US Airlines" does not exist. http://www.kls2.com/airlines/n-america.html lists all North American carriers and "US Airlines" isn't on it. THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I received the same thing.  I'm not willing to sit through the high pressure sales for a time share presentation.  I don't need a free cruise that badly.  I won't be contacting them.

I received the same thing.  It would appear to be a time share thing based on the tiny message on the back of the "voucher".  I unfortunately own a timeshare and they use these things all the time so it is likely legit, sort of.  A lot of hoops to jump through just don't buy anything.

Recieved a mailer with photo of Carnival Cruise ship on one side, carnival logo on front cover, with my address handwritten. A loose paper on the inside was a replica of a boarding pass, printed on the inside cover was a statement informing me that I had been chosen to recieve a free seven night cruise on Carnival out of any port in the U.S. and if I act within 48 hours, free airfare would be included on US Airlines.
Small print on the loose paper said the promotion is not affiliated with Carnival.  Anyone else have a similar experience?
