I received a call threating to come serve me papers at work for a payday loan I took out.  The number they called from is 877.793.8327.  I will see what happens

I received a call from a person identifying herself a delivery service that delivers papers in exchange for a signature.  She gave me this number and told me to call it to find out more information.  The person sending the papers were Mike Caulley.  I called the number and I got an automated answering machine and told me to dial my extension or hit "O".  I hit "0" and a man answered who stated they were with Western New York Capital.  Anyway, the delivery service is suppose to be here tomorrow or the next day with my papers.  Dont know who these people are.  Any idea?

I owe a debt to Check-N-Go but I could not pay. The guy called & said if I did not pay it would be sent to my state (VA) for check fraud even though it is a payday loan. It's been 10 months & they have done nothing to me. What a jerk!

Same story as everyone else... They called from a blocked number and said they had papers for me and my brother to sign. She said her name was Crystal and that she would be in town for the next 48 hours, and that they would notify us 2 hours in advance before coming to our house. She left a call back number 877-793-8327 and a file number, but did not say the agency or firm or anything she represents.

My brother called me today saying that his ex-wife of 16 years called him because she received a call stating that her and myself and my daughter had papers to sign and they would be in town in couple of days and would call her and that we all needed to meet with in the 2 hour time frame.

first of all I have not seen my ex-sister inlaw in over 16 years, and she has never even met my daughter who was born after her and my brother were divorced.  

The message was left on her phone.  When she called back to find out what this was about, they said it was regarding my sister (who is in jail) and when she asked them what their company does, he stated that they normally handle Sapeonas. when she told them that if this was true that they just broke the law by revealing the names of the other individuals, the guy hung up on her.  

What makes this so bizar is that we have not seen each other in over 16 years, they did not even have my last name correct as i remarried 12 years ago the only name that they had as current was my sister (the one in jail).

I would really like to know how they are able to connect all of us when the relationship with the ex-sister inlaw is from so long ago.

A young man called stating that he was coming to serve my son and husband with some papers at our house or at my husbands job. My son is 32 years old and my husband has never co-signed or signed any document concerning our son. My husband called the number 877-793-8327 that the young man gave me and basically got in a heated a discussion telling them he is in no way involved in our grown son's business.

Ive never received any "legal papers" however i did receive a fax at work from this company this past weekend.  It was directed to my human resource dept.  It was addressed to the department and stated "it would be in your (the HR dept) best intrest to protect yourself and release the requested information about the employee (my name)." Then it stated if I refused to please check the box and fax it back.  The human resource dept fowarded the fax to me.  I wrote at the bottom of the fax to never attempt to contact me at this place of business/work again and then i faxed it back.  I of course did not release any information.  It kind of sounded like they were threatening the HR department...Like they would be "unprotected" if they didnt release the info...Im saving everything in a file that is sent to me...My work has already asked that I call on of these businesses and tell them to stop calling..I did so..Its a different number but I dont know if they are working together somehow..

I just received a call from a private caller stating she is a delivery person who delivers papers for a signature.  I have never heard of anyone calling you first, especially if you owe a debt, which I do, which is VERY old.  I had chosen to keep my homestead first also.  She gave us the number of 877-793-8327 to call and that Mike Mc Caulley was the person the papers were coming from.  She also gave me a case number.  I called the number to get an automated answering machine who instructed me to dial my extension or "O".  I hit "O" and a man answered the phone, whom gave me the name of Western New York Capital.  This is a first for me, normally they want your name and your case number first, then they will talk to you if they are a collection agency.  I asked him what kind of business it was and he stated he was a financial company and did some work for some attorneys, but did not clarify.  I thanked him and hung up.  With these stressed times it is bad enough to worry about what you have pending, much less to have these people harrass you and make you worry about something that may not be legitimate.  I wish there was something we could do to make these kinds of calls stop.  If anyone reading, please let me know the outcome.  At the end of the woman's call she stated she would be in our area tomorrow or the next day delivering the papers.  We have no intention of signing anything!

Received a fax in our office today from these people (WNYC, Inc. - 877-793-8327). It was to the attention of Human Resources Dept. They wanted verification of employment of an individual (who it just happens is no longer employed by us). After my brief search on this company, I'm not even going to call their # to et them know that a) the employee did not sign the release for information or b) that he's no longer here. Sounds like a typical bill collector technique - and we don't have to provide them anything.

I got a call yesterday and today also. He claimed that he (Chris) had documents for me and someone else to sign. He said call 877-793-8327 if I had any questions. I have not returned the call. I'm searching the internet first.

My fiance and I both received voicemail tonight saying that there were documents filed with our name and someone else we don't know.  It is really strange because we don't have any joint debts together and don't know the third party.  I have to call tomorrow for more info.

I got a call today and a fax at my work. I am not sure who these peole are but if you google wnyc.inc, there are a ton of stories just like these. I would look into you state laws to see if they can keep calling like that. I know in AZ they are only allowed to call once if they talk to you in a day and twice on two numbers if they do not talk to you. I have debit too but it is old. I have not had anything bad in over a year not sure why they are calling.

This number called my mother-in-law today and told her they have legal documents i need to sign and they want to send them to her.  She refused and said she wanted to speak to me first.  I owe several debts, payday loans and credit card...I was in over my head and had to choose between paying them or paying my house. I decided to keep my house. i feel bad but i cant pay it.  they call all the time non-stop.  is this allowed? Also about a year ago, one company had the nerve to call my work and tell them i an being investigated for arson and they need to get in touch with me...Ive never been in trouble with the law. Come to find out it was one of the collectors.
