Stop! stop stop calling...... wrong #

This call referenced above was received on my cell phone.  I picked up my land line called the number and got this recording:  "This number has been temporarily disconnected, RCGT1".  OK, had I called a policeman out to my home as I was instructed to do by AT&T, this is what the officer would have heard and left thinking I was an idiot.  I am just going to get on the phone and call every person connected with the phone company or federal government that is remotely connected to my phone system until I get a hold of someone with a half a brain to stop this nmad calling me 3-4 times a week.  What we need is a website that we could enter this info and have someone with AUTHORITY who CAN do something about it, and stop this now and for all.  Maybe a we need an extension of the DNC registry.

I continue to get calls from 877-795-9819.  To be clear, I want all of you that think you can stop them to know that I have, registered on the Do Not Call List for the past 15 years and update as necessary, talked to people who answer this number in a very businesslike manner, told them I was NOT Barbara Allison, don't know her, don't want to know her, if I did I would scratch her eyeballs out!  I have asked them to remove me from their mailing list, they apologized and said they would on several occasions.  Each time, it took them about 5 days to put me back on the calling list.  Unless you have deep pockets to sue the living lleh out of them, you have no alternative here in Georgia but to call the local police department to report annoying calls.  I don't know about you but whoever thought that up should have their head examined.  I made that mistake about 5 years ago and the policeman was so dessip that I had called him for such an idiotic thing that I felt like I was going to wind up in jail!  So for all of you one liners up there that think you know how to handle it - you go right ahead and write your stupid remarks - they DO NOT WORK!  Whoever you are at 877-795-9819 - go to hell!

This number is to OPTIMUM OUTCOMES, INC.  They will not leave message who to talk to.  I don't owe anyone.

Received today on my cell - I would not be getting a debt collector call - in this economy I don't buy ANYTHING even on credit so I don't owe anything!  The only thing I can think of is that they are looking for Barbara Allison - I have gotten calls for her for almost 2 years now for some medical bills - that's why I never answer the phone.  This is almost as much fun as surfing the internet with 2000 pop up ads per minute!  

Debt collector looking for BARBARA ALLISON - if you know her - tell her to pay her *&%* bills - I don't know her, not kin to her and don't ever want to hear her name again!  It does no good whatsoever to register on the Do Not call list.  It's obviously not monitored!  Add to that, they are calling on my cell phone.  I am a senior citizen and I have 200 "granny minutes per month - don't need to lose any of my minutes to these deadbeats that don't pay their bills!

only debt I "owe" is $6.32 to T-Mobile, and I don't even owe that.  I had unusable "service" for three days in February which they gave me credit for which more than covers this debt.  I was a T-mobile for a TOTAL of three days!!!!  Then cancelled because the phone would not work on cell or wifi.  PLUS T-mobile did not give me credit for phones returned within their time frame.  I have spent over 13 HOURS on the phone with these people who still owe ME money and now they are sicking a debt collector on me?  For $6.00??? even.  I finally had to arbitrate  my credit card for the monies owed for not crediting the phones back that were returned.  That cost them anywhere between $50 and $250.  I'll NEVER use T-mobile again!!!  Call all you want, I'm not paying something I don't owe because T-mobile can't keep their books straight.  and, beware.....if you buy a BRAND NEW phone and it is defective, they will replace it with a USED one even if it is only hours old.  and...you still get to pay for the brand new phone while using a refurbished one.  

I have an android phone so i downloaded "phone blocker" so i stop being bother by these calls they keep calling for someone i didnt even know...it allows to to add full numbers & "start with".....fyi they still can leave u a vm but u wont hear ur phone ring &u wont keep having to telling them they have wrong #. Yes i am on "do NOT call list" & have even told them I'm filing harassment suit...but some of those debt collector companies don't care! So atleast now i wont have to hear my phone ring :)

Debt collection and recovery companies are allowed by law to phone any number associated with the debt. This information can be found on the NDC allowable call menu. If they are looking oe asking to speak to someone other than your legal name simply tell them they have the wrong number and ask that your number be removed from there list on the debt they are seeking to collect.

ROBO Call from a Collection agency.....This will be 6-8 times, I have informed these "IDIOTS", They have the WRONG
NUMBER....... I called  them back, and I was told again......They would remove my number from their call list.....

Just my opinion...

If I was being harassed by Optimum Outcomes, I would file a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Insurance. The NCDOI licenses and regulates collection agencies in NC.

If Optimum Outcomes was harassing me about a debt owed to a medical facility, I would directly contact the facility's general counsel's office to let them know what their agent is doing wrong. For example, I would contact Duke Hospital's GC:

Companies like Optimum Outcomes can only intimidate me if I let them. I would stand up for my rights. I would let their client know that my rights are being violated.

Optimum Outcomes may be subject to NC General Statute 58-70-90. If Optimum Outcomes violates it, I may be able to sue them and receive $4000 for EACH violation of that law.

Well, bully for you!  If you'd actually read most of the comments, people are getting called in spite of NOT owing any debt and also after repeatedly telling them to stop calling. Their next step should be to tell them they'll be taking legal action for continuing to violate both the FDCPA and also the TCPA.

Why don't you people actually TALK to them and get the details before you whine? I was getting calls for someone I've never heard of. I called the number back and it took about 30 seconds to get my number removed from their list. Easy. If you DO have a valid debt (whether you're aware of it or not) then the Do Not Call List doesn't apply.

The message claims to be from a collection agency; however I do not have any outstanding debts to any one. These calls are very annoying

If they're calling you with a disclosure call identifying themselves as http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/b ... ove-il-88033230 you may owe debt or your name and number is associated with a friend or family member who may owe a debt. As a friend or family member make  your complaint through their BBB to disclose deceptive and unfair business practices. Calling them and telling them to stop calling is useless but you do need the reason for why they're calling. They will start all of their nondislosure call tactics. One note: alternate name of ACS kinda like AC services and HVAC.

Debt Collector - I have no outstanding debts. They are blocked from calling me again. Only problem is, how many numbers of they have? I'm also not behind on anything but have been in the past and trying to talk reason to these low life's is a waste of my time.

I can not find a current license issued to Optimum Outcomes Inc. for North Carolina through the Department of Insurance.

It is my understanding that it is illegal to call another person regarding another individual.

Even if you are on the do not call register they are allowed to call you to collect a debt.

Isn't it illegal to autodial people and accuse people by name for being deadbeats without knowing who they are calling?

This is a debt collection agency contracted out by various companies.

I received calls from this number for months looking for 'Roger Cox' (I am NOT Roger Cox).  I was going to answer but I received a message, in the same voice, looking for a different name.  They quit calling for a few months but they are back. Ron
