I got a call from this number and it is PNC mortgage. They hung up so I called the number back. It was there refinance department. National City use to have my home mortgage then one day it was PNC. Of course, I had no say in the matter.

Ya same thing I have PNC and this is the first one of these I got did not answer but most likely scam bullcrap. Disregard. And people get it thru your head these callers do not have to follow the DNC list there illegal in the first place wtf do there care bout a list?

National City Bank, including its mortgage division was bought by PNC Bank about 5 years ago. The name National City Bank including National City Mortgage was retired in 2010. I know because my National City accounts, including my mortgage account, were all converted. New numbers, new contact information, everything "PNC" for about 4 years.

I'd be careful about this caller, not even confirming my name. If I want mortgage info I know how to reach them securely. Cold calls, IMHO, are 98% scammers. May a special place in hell be reserved for them and their employees.

I get calls from this number, but they always hang up. I just started receiving them recently with the poor state of the stock market. Yeah i think you guys are on to something! I have my mortgage with National City as well. National City may be next bank in line to fold!

they call me around 3-4 times a day, and everytime I call back they hang up so this time I called and then entered a random ext. and got some lady and she said that she would take my number off the list...but i'm not sure how they got ti because i do not have my mortage with them.

If this is from National City and I have a loan with them, why don't they know the address of the property they have a note on or my SSN.

Called 3:00 p.m. left a computer-voice message that only says "important call".  I am DNC...

It is National City Mortgage. They have a refi line that makes the calls and if the first time you answer you aren't the one they want they hang up until they get a different voice. I just called and talked to customer service. Told them we don't want to refi and the calls are very bother some. The lady took care of it and was fiarly pleasant. We'll see if the calls stop.

Yep national city mort.  Makes me nervous about their stability.

Got a call from that number this morning and said that they were from National City Mortgage.  He asked if anyone's called me about their 'money-saving refinance deals'.  When I said 'no', he hung up on me.  It was about the 4th time that they called my cell phone and this was the first time that I picked up.

also have Nat. City Mortgage. I just called 800-822-5626 and confirmed they do outbound refi calls. I found it strange though that i was locked out of my web account recently, but they assured me it was because i hadn't logged into the site since December, which I'm pretty sure is not true.

This call comes from National City Mortgage.  I have my mortgage with them.  Not sure what they wanted...probably want me to refi but there is no point to that as I have a 15 year fixed rate at 4.37%.  NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

I keep getting calls from this number.  I don't pick up.  I have called back and it says hold for available agent.  Immediately hang up!

I just read on whocallsme.com, that this caller is National City Mortgage offering re-finance deals.

I routinely get phone calls from 1-877-800-0609, with "out of area" displayed on my caller ID. No message ever left by this number and they continually hang up. Who is this caller?
