This posting is made by legal counsel in correction and clarification of anonymous and other postings made to this blog by various persons concerning Last Chance Lists ("LCL"), the Uniguard program, and Daniel J. Richardson and his wife.  Posts made to this blog pertaining to the Richardsons, LCL and Uniguard are false, inaccurate, misleading, confusing and wholly defamatory and slanderous.

LCL did not run a scam.  LCL was a reseller of a package called Uniguard Plus.  This package was offered by a very reputable company that has been in business for over 50 years selling consumer services.  LCL was NOT the marketer of the product.  LCL hired a Nevada firm to market the Uniguard package. This company was contracted to offer the Uniguard package through a ?bonus pop? question on various websites through affiliate marketers.  The ?bonus pop? allowed consumers to opt in to the Uniguard offer.  LCL never authorized the marketing company or any other party or person to market the product on a "payday loan" site.  LCL received written confirmation from the marketing company that the Uniguard program was marketed through a ?bonus pop? question and was NOT part of any auto-enrollment program associated with a payday loan.

The Nevada firm was also contracted to handle the customer service for the Uniguard product and was instructed to issue refunds immediately when a consumer cancelled the service. LCL has done everything they can to assure that every consumer who requested a refund did receive one.

LCL learned in late January, 2010, that there were apparently problems with the customer service center.  LCL had no knowledge of any issues or complaints prior to this time.  LCL believes that the customer service center handled numerous programs and was not properly trained.  LCL believes that the customer service center apparently gave consumers incorrect information regarding the Uniguard program and how it was marketed.  LCL believes that the customer service center confused consumers and/or led customers to believe that Uniguard was related to other website offers or payday loans, which it was not.  LCL acted immediately upon learning of customer complaints and/or refund issues to ensure that all customer received prompt responses and refunds.

LCL did NOT offer any program other than Uniguard.  LCL is NOT related to ANY company offering any other website programs and LCL is NOT related to any company offering payday loans.  Our client operates a legitimate business and customer service is a priority.

Sincerely,

Cami Boyd, Esq.

This automated system called me after I submitted an application for a payday loan.  The recorded message told me that I had to respond w/ my name verbally after I looked up www.loanterms.co on the internet to view the terms and conditions.  I didn't respond w/ anything and before I knew it, the recorded message said "thank you" and hung up.  When I called back it told me that I already approved such a thing.  I was able to actually look at the terms and conditions and saw that it was some crazy membership scam.  Unfortunately the phone call was so quick, I wasn't able to see what the loan terms were before the system hung up.  I sent an email to cancel immediately and it was returned undeliverable.

This is still considered a scam.  The whole point is to get you to join this trial program.  I got the same call a few moments ago and didn't bother to go through with it.  I could easily tell that it was a scam.  as the extension is cl whichis chile.  It's impossible to capture filled forms that haven't been submitted.

I called this number because I have three charges of $8.42 and was taken every week.  I was told that the first two charges can't be refunded.  I keep asking the clerk to tell what services do they offer or what did I consumed to get this charges but did not get the good explanation.  I was told that I checked the terms and conditions but I did not even get the loan.  This is what I was told to go www.freedomsubscriptions and this company is located in West Desert Las Vegas NV.

Yes they did the same thing to me they charged me 49.95 and sent me a prepaid credit card from some other company then they charged me $8.42 each week for a few months while I tried to call and E-mail them with no responses.  Finally I contacted them through their web site and they said they cancelled my account with them so hopefully they do it this time.  It is forgery because it is not your signature and I also set up my account so that no checks would be cashed and yet their checks made it through numerous times.  Always read the fine print because while it is forgery if you read the fine print it says that they will be charging you 8.42 a week as a membership fee and yet they do nothing for you.

Always read the fine print.

I totally agree they need a lawsuit against them. Those underhanded b*****ds charged my account in the amount of 8.42 five different times. My bank told me they had the last four digits of my social and my email address and address.....Very freaky!

I did not call, but had a charge of $8.42 on my account along with another charge from Liberty Discount of $34.19.  I have been in contact with LIberty Discount and they have cancelled subscription and given me the proper website to request the refund.  So far that seems to be working - willknow by Wednesday if they are willing to refund the charge and the overdraft fee they cost me.

I called the number my bank provided for Freedom, but since today is Sunday did not get anywhere  Came across this site when I did a web search.

Apparently these charges were generated when I did a cash advance web search.  Liberty asked what website I visited.

I have been charged $8.42 four times in eight days, causing four overdrafts of $32.00 each. These people have now caused my account to go nearly $300 in the hole, and I cannot pay my bills. It has taken me 2 weeks and my checks plus my fiancees check, and we still haven't got back in the positive. Best thing to do is talk to your bank, open a new account and hope your bank will work with you and credit your account. I'm checking into legal actions, but who knows how far that will go.

I too have been ripped off. Unlike all of your ammounts ripped off from you,  I had a total of $23.88 taken from my bank account. I also am facing overdraft fees. I live on a fixed income and this really sucks!! I also had called 877-807-4709 and requested a refund but the girl who spoke with a heavy accent was repeatively asked by me to speak up because I have severe deafness, just kept repeating that the charge of 23.88 was non-refundabale as if she were a tape recorder !!   I was and still am fit to be tied but I will keep persuing this matter until I win this dispute!  Any help that anyone could give to me would be very appreciated. Good luck to everyone and God Bless. Let's get them b*****ds!! (Excuse mt French)
