I just received a call from "Unknown", lady named Patricia Huntley said she was call for _____, didn't even come close to pronouncing my name correctly. Said she was moving forward with my case for fraud and larcency??? Really...Gave a case number and phone number 1-877-822-5862. Said I needed to call her before the show up at my house or work.
This is a hoax, a scam and I don't have time for all this. My husband is sick and I am having surgery in a month.
I don't owe anyone other than my house and car payments. These people need to get a life and leave good, honest, hard-working people alone. I don't know how they can sleep at night, if people fall for their line of crap.

i just got a call from 877-822-5862 telling me that i owe them $1,500 form 2011 and said i will have to go to court if i don't pay. then tells me at 7;00am that i will have 30 min to pay or the paperwork will be submitted. i hope someone takes this scam out the name of the man i spoke with is mr. Neal and frankly he is rude.

First things first. This is a message to a Caller who Identifies himself as "James Bennet". You have been reported to the FTC and the State AGs office in the three jurisdictions. You just "F"up because I work with the government "James". And when I get some down time, Pray my friend that I don't find you before they do.
Below is the scoop for all of you who might be worried by this worthless piece of garbage.
I work outside the country for months at a time so it has become humorous to watch this Idiots progression through his messages. He should join his brother the Prince of Nairobi in asking you to help cash a large check.
Caller hides his phone number and IDs himself as James Bennet with "the state" ( what state? ) He claims to have a case against you for check fraud. ( I haven't wrote a check in the last 7 years ) He then rambles on some meaningless case number and informs that you have the legal right to call the offended party at 866-920-3358 so they can extort money or try to scare you into giving them more information. (Do Not give them ANY Information if you answer this type of call.) They will try to get your last 4 or full Social Security number. He Claims you will be served at work or home and sometimes says service will be that day. Process servers never tell you they are coming.)
This Idiot calls for a month says he is coming and never does. I wish he would. This worthless piece of trash is a waste of human skin. While serving my country I learned how to deal with those that prey upon the innocent so please " james" come to my house and I'll instruct you.

Claims to have criminal and wire fraud charges and leaves a callback number of 877-822-5862 and again claims he will be coming with local authorities. (Again "James" an open invitation come to my house and I'll instruct you.)
They obviously use data collecting websites that publish your name, phone numbers, associations, and any other personal information about you for unscrupulous and nefarious purposes. Those websites should be sued for assisting these stalkers. The only information they are using at this point is your name and phone number so don't give them any more. They don't have real jobs other than stealing Money through this con job based on harassment and fear.
Ignore these calls. Warn all who might be affected that you are being harassed. Google and Bing yourself to see your electronic footprint. Opt out of all data Collecting websites that are disseminating your personal information. Pull credit reports on yourself to look over and see if someone is stealing your identity. File complaints with proper gov't services.
There are other means to track and hunt these leaches down if you are creative and have the resources. What you do when you find them is your business.
Unlist or change your phone number. Remove any associations between your name and phone number from your answering machine or service. Your message should only say "thank you for calling 555-5555 please leave a message."
Whenever you are asked for a your number, Use your home number for GP (general purposes) . You can then screen those calls with your answering machine at the end of the day.
Give your cell number only to friends and family. Never answer numbers you don't recognize. If it's important they'll leave a message. When your cell gets unknown or unwelcome calls use a search engine to research the number then give that number a name like "telemarketer" so if and when they call again you can see who they are.
As for any post trying to validate these calls as legit those post are by shills and trolls disregard them.
