I have received two charges of 19.95 and 19.97 on my MasterCard from this fraudulent operation.  I contacted my bank and have reported this.  If I see any more charges from Trident Patriot or Liberty Pass I will seek legal action against you.  I do not know how my card number was acquired but it was unauthorized by me.

I disagree I am the one who just posted about signing up with USA Legal resources, the rep from there that I talked to about canceling my free trial, listened to the recordings of our conversation and in fact agreed that since I stated numerous times that I didn't want these other charges that when she signed me up it was fraudulent.

I signed up for USA Legal Resources and the lady told me that for a trial membership it would cost $3.95 and I agreed to that and then (she sounded like she was reading from a script) she started telling me about these different things and I reitterated that no other charge was to be made to my card because I was not authorizing that.  She said that it wouldn't and to please listen to the rest of the script that she had to read to me, so I did.  Yesterday when I called to cancel my 14 day trial, and I was looking at my account it showed charges for US Patriot and Liberty something or other.  I told the lady at USA LEgal resources this and she listened to the tape of our conversation, and agreed that these charges were in fact not authorized.  She was very helpful and gave me the number to get ahold of these other people.  When I called them they were cooperative but said that it would take 5-7 business days to get the money back on my card.  That's when I got irrate, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was not allowed to do that.  I will be watching my activity and will let you guys know how long it takes to refund me the $, and what the outcome of this is.

If i had the authority to do something about it, I would, Unfortunatly I don't.  If theres more then one person doing this, then all the people in question need to be fired. again i would if i could, unfortunatly all i can do is tell my managers about "shady" agents. Which by the way i have and ive personally seen people get fired for that very reason.  Sales agents have NO right to sighn you up for ANYTHING without permission.  I honestly appologise that this is giving so many people grief.  Do i have moral issues doing MY job? No because im Legit.  But it does infuriate me knowing that some people take advantage of their customers just because they think they wont get caught.  They will.

Are you saying that only ONE of their sales people is doing this? I doubt it. I had the same thing happen to me. I was charged $1.95 & $19.95 for Patriot and $1.97 & $19.97 for Liberty. I DID NOT sign up for either of these. I ordered a book online and have had nothing but fraudulent charges to my account ever since. It doesn't even stop with Liberty and Patriot. There have been 4 others!!! If I stole someone's debit or credit card and used it I would be arrested. Why can't these people!?

First I would like to say I'm probably not even supposed to be posting here about this. I do work in tele-sales and we offer these services as a third party. Now I just want to say, as a salesperson's perspective, I personally make sure that everyone who accepts these offers knows full well how the trials work. We offer customers a trial for 14 days which is automatically extended afterwards for the membership fee. Customers are free to call any anytime with no further obligations.

Now if you said "No." and they sighned you up for it anyway, that makes ME upset because those of us who "Play by the rules" to earn our sales do well enough and if people sighn people up to receive these without getting aproval, they're "Cheating." (Thats from a sales agesnt's perspective, in reality its "Selling." and "Stealing."

Now I do want to add for those of us who play by the rules, we have to get a deffinate approval "Yes, Sure, Ok" or nothing, and we also have to confirm by electronic signature.

All in all, the companies responsible for the US Patriot Card and Liberty Fun Pass are compleetly honerable, and you should direct your anger not at the programs or their owners, but at the single person (sales agent) who sighned you up without permission (if that is indeed what is going on).

I travel a lot in my job and to ease in the mundane task of writing checks each month, I paid my bills automatically on line each time a bill is received.  I was not aware of these monthly charges until I zeroed out my credit card debts to better my credit score as I was planning to refinance on my home.  When the charges appeared the next month from TRIDENT PATRIOT CARD and TRIDENT LIBERTY FUN PASS I found out I had been paying them for over six months, starting from $1.95 and $1.97 the first month to $19.95 and $19.95 each month thereafter.  When I tried to dispute the charges, it took almost 20 minutes for the bank to get a  phone number I could call -- 877-822-0682 and the bank personnel stated it could only go back to the last 60 days of charges.  When I called, the number turned out to be a non-working number -- so I'm glad George left the phone numbers to cancel the memberships.  Come to find out, the last 4 digits are 6682 so the bank had the wrong number and a Jim answered after the initial recording and politely gave me my card numbers as I never received anything from Trident, cards or otherwise and therefore did not know what they were.  He took care of both the Patriot and Liberty Pass cards, cancelled them, gave me the cancellation #s to both, and informed me that claim forms would be sent to me for me to fill out and file.  I will update later with another posting after I receive, fill out the claims, file and receive settlement.

I just received a phone call not to long ago on my cell phone from this "company" as well as the liberty fun pass soliciting their "great" cards and how they will save me money. After not authorizing any permission what so ever to charge my debit card, which i have not the slightest idea how they got all of my info from, they went ahead and charged it any way without my permission. So i called both numbers back and after being on hold for about ten minutes a piece i cancelled both cards. I am so glad i found this website, otherwise i would have been scammed big time by this "company". The Number i called to cancel "my" US Patriot Card was 1877-822-6682, and the number i called to cancel "my" liberty fun pass was 1866-923-5423. be Careful and watch your bank statements.

We monitor our marketing partners like this very closely, and hope you can understand that since we are taking the time to respond on this forum.

We take all customer issues very seriously and would never want to put an unauthorized charge on your card. Please always ask for the name of your sales agent and note the date and time of your call.

Based on what you say, there should not be a charge nor would we have your credit card information--at least not from U.S. Patriot Card or Liberty Fun Pass, who we represent. But if for any reason you are not satisfied with your experience, please contact us directly at the toll free number on your credit card statement if a charge occurs, or visit the "contact us" link at the bottom of either product Web site, www.uspatriotcard.com and www.libertyfunpass.com.

Representatives answering these calls, and e-mails, can DIRECTLY address your situation, IF something occurred, which again seems it should not based on how you described the situation.

We encourage any other future people visiting this thread to go this more direct route in getting questions answered to the U.S. Patriot Card or Liberty Fun Pass.

Thank you for the background and your understanding.

Sincerely,
Customer Service

I received "the call" and bothered by the fact that they got my information from using my Visa - including address...where's the protection from using the Visa? Fast talking pressure sales...my caller "Jim" advised me that I was not an educated consumer because I adamantly refused any charges on my credit card...I made a purchase that results in a phone call like this...when I find the vendor who turned over my Visa information, I will make an attorney general complaint and if any charges appear on my statement, I will file fraud complaint as well.

This number belongs to a company called Us Patriot, I have never heard of them and can not find any information about them other than the fact that they have scammed others just like me!  they took money in the amounts of 19.95 and 1.97 without my authorization from my debit card.
