Debt Collector
These idiots called my place of employment and spoke to someone in HR asking if I worked there. They told them they did not know work schedules of our employees. Left the 877# and claim number. Then today I get a text msg from my brother that  a Brad Miller called said he was an investigator and I gave him his name as a contact. I have never spoken to these people. I have not received any paperwork from anybody. It is getting close to the holidays, so I need they are trying to find a sucker to buy Christmas for them. Getting tired of these games and attacks they are making on us. Let them come. I am married to a cop.

These people called my in-laws and left the 877# and case # with them.  I called the number and they stated that I owed Integrity Payday Loan from Oct. 2009.  I was on the phone with them and googled the number to find out others had this very same thing happening to them.

I asked them for the number of the "CREDITOR" they stated I owed and stated to me that if I could look it up 4 years ago, I can do it again... I was told I entered into a 'BREECH OF CONTRACT" and that they were going after "FRAUD" from me... I simply asked what I needed to do to clear this up.  She said, I owe $1035.00 and could pay by CC.  I told her to give me her address and after I contacted the company - I would gladly send out the money. (NO I WAS NOT going to send out money)
She stated they only take CC's... I told her I didn't have one to 'PLAY HER GAME"... she advised me to go to WAL-MART and purchase a CC and call her back.  I told her I refused to do so and would ONLY send in a check.  She then proceeded to tell me that she will send a Processor out to my home.  I said that would be great!  Then I could identify what this was about.  The lady got VERY annoyed that I wanted paperwork and hung up.

The next day I recieved a call from the so called Processor...  she needed to verify my  address...  (i left it go to VM)  JUNE JACKSON stated this was my ONLY and FINAL notice...  I refused to do anything about it.  The next day the proccessor stated that she now had my address and that I had ONLY until she personally got in touch with me to conact the 877 # to get this resolved.  it is now 5 days after the first phone call and I have NOT seen the processor or heard back from them!

If this was a real deal... I would have papers from this company... I would have an address from this company...  I would have seen something from the COURT SYSTEM here in the state I live...  bottom line is... these people are VERY threatening and need to be reported!

I was told they were going to take my case to court for an unpaid online loan I made over 2 years ago.  At first I did not remember the loan, but they had my SS#, address, email address, and they insisted I give them my debt account to settle the account before they took me to court.  I realized that this loan was paid.....late but settled, I called the original company and they said they did not deal with any nationwide company!!!

Received multiple calls and voice messages to call this number (877-824-9764).  Claiming to hand charges involving a fraud. Call back and asked them to remove my number and they refused to. They answered the phone simply as "Nationwide".  Claimed the loan originated with Integrity Advance Loans.  I know Nationwide is a real company, if Integrity Advance Loans is real they should go after these people.

I just got off the phone with two different people from this number. The first guy was so adamant about trying to verify who I was. He went into all that stuff about confidentiality and he told me that he could give me the last four digits of my social and he blurted out 4 numbers. When I asked him why would he do that since he was so bent on confidentiality and didn't know for sure who I was, he hung up the phone on me.  I waited for about 15 minutes and called back and got a lady. I simply asked her for a mailing address so that my attorney could mail some documents to them. At first she told me that they don't give out their address because of the nature of their business. When I asked again, she told me that they don't have an address. I asked how could a legitimate business not have an address. She told me that she was a very busy woman and didn't have time for this and hung up the phone on me. So I called back the locator (surprising enough) with the same area code as mine, and I keep getting the busy signal. She told me that she was going to check back with me to verify an address where I could be served the papers. I have yet to hear from her. I will continue to harass them as they have harassed me as well as you all. I am not letting this rest. They called all over my job. If it is confidential, why would they give my case number to my co worker and my boss? Makes no sense to me.....

Debt Collector
I began getting these calls at my place of work last week. When i called the 877-824-9764 # they gave my coworker, they claimed I owed a debt from a payday loan from back in 2008. I had already learned of these types of calls and did as the news has said and asked for proof of this alleged debt and the refused stating the didn't have this information. I called their bluff and told them that I knew by law they had to provide me with this information so I could see this was a legal debt. They got really mad at me and was insistent I make arrangements to pay off or i would be arrested, etc. I got really rude back and said that if they would send me proof of this so called "payday" loan I owed, then i had no issues making payment arrangements. They ended up threatening me again and then hung up on me. I was furious! The next day, they called my work, again, but asked the receptionist if she ever gave me the message? Really? They should know this already. Plus they are using a local # to call but different people calling from it. When you try to call that # back, it is always busy and have even gotten the message it was disconnected. They called back to work place 2-3 times claiming someone was on their way there to serve me papers or arrest me. I called my local sheriffs dept. and he said call 911 if someone shows. Of course, no one ever has. I had a friend of mine call them today at the 877# that is an attorney requesting their information (address, etc) but they refused and would never do so. They claim they have never denied anyone proof of a debt and would be more than happy to do so if the client would call them back. They then tried to say that no one from their company has called and made any threatening calls to no one. All a bunch of lies and still would never provide address, etc. I then contacted the supposed payday loan company they claim were their clients and they told me they had NO association with this company and this was most likely a scam. I am like others above in which they have somehow contacted family members of mine threatening them as well. It is unreal the lengths they go thru to try to scam people out of money. I have contacted the FTA as well to file a report on them too, As soon as I can get an address, I will be filing a report with the police dept. as well.

This number also called my work after leaving a threatening message about me being officially notified of a "case" and "charges" against me.  When I attempted to call them back under a unlisted number no one answered the phone.

These scammers are so ridiculous - if you were going to be charged and arrested, the cops would just show up.  Never mind that debt is civil, not criminal, so there wouldn't even be "charges".  Typical scammer language intended to scare people into paying some bogus debt.

The number that comes up on the caller id is 513-824-9764 out of Norwood Ohio.

When I look up that number it claims to Nationwide Insurance trying to get you to pay a claim and everyone states it is a scam.

They called for my husband at my parents house which he has never used as a contact number.

Looks like they are cold calling people today trying to find a sucker.

When my dad took the information he asked if the were a collection agency as we filed bankruptcy over the summer and everything had been turned into them...They said no they were no a collection agency.

Have you received dunning letters for this alleged debt?  If it was a legitimate debt, you'd have received letters about it first.  If you received a phone call, legally, the callers MUST mail you a debt validation letter within five days of that first call.  People are not given a heads up they'll be served papers - the court process server just shows up.  Sounds like a typical scammer call.  Any caller who refuses to mail you proof that the debt is yours and they have the legal right to collect said debt, is owed nothing, per the FDCPA.

Report the calls to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
