Caller left message that they were Transocean Limited, reminding that I need to call this number to ensure that I vote on the proxy vote on May 16, but he pronounced my name incorrectly.  Called the number back and got automated reply regarding their hours.  Strange, I called the number during their hours of availability.

Won't ID themselves, they claim to work an investment company.  Tried to get me to vote over the phone.  It's a SCAM!!

Rcvd a call from this number a few days ago and I returned the call. They told me they were a company called Innisfree (www.inisfreema.com). They represent the Ader Group that wants to placed 3 members on the board of IGT. It appears they are located in NY and London and do, among other things, proxy solicitation.

Shareholder relations firm not a collection agency, called me a few weeks ago to make sure I got my proxy and took my vote. I was happy for the assistance. They didnt ask any personal info just confirmed my address. There info was in my statement I checked.

They sometimes take shareholder votes over the telephone.  Other times they provide replacement proxy statements and things of that sort.

They don't try to sell you anything.

No, the company cannot vote your proxy if you don't vote. That used to be the rule, but it's not the rule anymore.  That's why companies are now paying to have proxy solictors call shareholders.

This number called yesterday, a Bill Russel from United DuPont is what he said.

They called me also and they named a company I had stock in and all they were doing was notifying me of an upcoming stockholder meeting and they had not received my voting  proxy.

Got this call in the am (I didn't answer the phone). No message left.

I don't own H & R stock either and have NEVER been called about a shareholder's meeting in the years I've owned shares.  All the info comes in the mail.  

These type of scam calls seem to always come in the morning.

I am near Montréal. For two afternoons since a couple of weeks, I get an English message using my name (but only two of my combined names which I ALWAYS use!) saying that there is a shareholders' meeting on November 21. The man identifies himself as calling from Bar Pharmaceuticals (Barr or whatever). I am asked to call 1-877-825-8619. That is also the number I see with Unknown Name.

I have caller ID and Voice mail so I never answer any of my calls. I also ignore ALL of the suspect calls I get. I added my name to the block list in Canada but I still get lots of calls and will deal with that later.

This number belongs to Innisfree M&A Incorporated.  It is not a scam.  If you received this call, chances are that you own stock in a company that has hired them.  They are a proxy solicitation and investor relations firm.

I received a call from them this morning.  It was about a tender offer.  One of the companies that I own is being acquired.  I already know because I actually read all my proxy materials.

called IN the afternoon, no one answering on their end of the line. I don't own any H& R (see above note). I think this call is a scam attempt.

regarding Regions Financial shareholder meeting. Said he represented the Board and wanted to speak to my husband. We owned a very small amount of the stock jointly; but he never asked to speak to me. I do not trust the purpose of the call. I figure it is someone opposing the company -- but, who knows? Why else would they call - the company can exercise our vote if we do not mail in a proxy.
