989-941-3135 sent me a text asking "Do you have 2 or more outstanding payday loans? We can help get rid of them. Call 877-830-4685. This is not a loan program. Reply STOP to end"
1. To answer their question regarding payday loans....NO I do not have any.
2. Replied STOP and received "Thank you. No further TXT messages will come from our company. If you opted in elsewhere, others may require optout as well"
Never opted in in the first place! Now they are really starting to tick me off with these solicitations, especially sending TEXTS.

Hey moron, can you read? Are you literate? Did anyone here indicate they have a school loan? If they indicated they have a school loan, did they indicate it was through Sallie Mae? Does Sallie Mae ever call a wrong number?

It's Sallie Mae and they're calling because you're too much of a worthless piece of s*** to pay your loans.

I got someone who said they were an officer. Wow, talk about blatant abuse. Don't answer is my advice

I called sallie mae directly to find out why I was being called about collections (since my loans were consolidated years ago with another company) and they said that I was completely clear with them. SO this number is NOT from Sallie Mae!

Sallie Mae calls all hours every day and most often will follow the call with a text

The number 877-830-7667, along with 855-568-2611 and 317-595-1244, are all from a third party collection agency representing Sallie Mae from what I have read. I have received the calls too, and these people will call 7 days a week at different times of the day, and multiple times a day. These people are aggressive because they don't get paid unless they collect, and then they also get a big commission when they do.

It was Sallie Mae... they had info that I only would have known (such as the balance of my student loan, nexy payment due and info of when I first received my student loan). They were reminding me my next payment due.

I got the same voicemail. Apparently it's a scam, if you look up the number they called with, the 317 one.

sallie mae department of education loan services - i did not get the feeling that it was legitimate, but i had looked this up before calling back. they did ask for my ssn OR a loan number. i told them i had no student loans so they asked for my phone number and told me they were actually looking for jessica orr so they would remove my number from their call list. they were very pleasant, but as i re-read the list, one included the name 'casey', which might have been what the woman said her name was (i don't remember exactly).

Cold call, said they were Sallie Mae, they asked for my full social, date of birth, and my address. I told them I do not give out my full social to cold callers; got transferred to supervisor who hung up on me.
