I have recieved an viewed the movies that were sent and my grandchildren seem to enjoy them.  The 4 year old and 3 year old loved the ones about the bunnies.  The older children 7 years, and 8 years, enjoyed the mystery one.  The content was very good, and the main part was the vaulues taught in the films.

I think this # belongs to Kids First or something like that.  The comment from Rosemary is exactly the same for this # as for another number that keeps calling me 575-382-6813.  Persistent people.

These people are calling and SPOOFING numbers which is a shady business practice. Spoofing means they can call from one central number and make it appear, on your caller ID that they are calling from a different number. The company is "Kid's First" and they are soliciting children's movies. Another business practice which I find unethical is that they will ask you for a friend or family member's phone number and address who you may think would be interested in their movies. This is a very unethical business practice if the spoofing wasn't unethical enough. The purpose of the spoofing is to trick you into picking up after you haven't answered their previous calls from one of their other fake numbers. Here are the fake numbers I have from them thus far:

575-382-3813
575-382-6813

Also do a search for these numbers, here, on "who calls me", you may find "Rosemary's" very same comments on each of these numbers as I may assume that she/he is employed by the culprit.

I received a call at 8:37am. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I want them to stop calling. When I start to ask them to stop they do not even let me finish. They interrupt me and give me a ear full of how they are not a Telemarketer and hang up.  I am taking their number and programing them into my phone and setting a ring tone to no sound. They can call as much as they want.

Called several times, no message- very persistant and annoying!

yes, we get calls from this number non stop and we do not know how they got our unpublished number in the first place.  when we answer and request they stop calling, they hang up on us.  emailing the company does not help... they don't answer.  my suggestion is ... just don't answer!  maybe... just MAYBE.... they will give up and stop calling.  that is what we are hoping for!

They call me every weeknight.  I thought if I stopped answering they'd leave me alone, but not so far.  They started up again after Christmas.

We didn't watch the movie, and it looks horrible.  My 9 and 11 year old step-sons would never watch them.

Don't answer, block if you can.

persistent calls from Kid's First and they won't stop calling

Just read a post and recognized the other number they've called from. it's 575-382-3813...they call from that number about 2 or 3 times daily, but I don't answer it. The calls are now coming from the 877 837 8560 number, but less frequent. Maybe they're getting the "hint". Dumb b*****ds

oh...there's another number they call me from. But I JUST cleared my outgoing and incoming call numbers.  They recently have been calling me from 877 837 8560-some dude named David (I'll block my number and call it, and he'll answer).

I don't see the other number that he normally calls from. I never received the DVDs (even though I told them I did), and yes, they call ALL THE DAMN TIME too.  I just don't answer. I only have a few long distance numbers in my cell and I know where they come from, so when they call on their long distance number, I just let it ring=they never leave a message-they just call back, and back, and back; sometimes 3 times a day.

This company told me they were a Family Value Video Company and were wanting to send me some dvd to review.  The one they sent were great.  When they called back they said that they wanted $24.00 and the names of my friends. I told them I wanted a paper bill.  I told them that I did not feel comfortable giving them my credit card number and then they asked for my checking account number.  I told them that I did not have it with me.  I told them I felt very uncomfortable doing this.  They acted as if they didn't hear me and said they would call and asked what time.  I said 5:30 but they didn't call then.  They called around 9 our time and my husband answered and told them we didn't want any.  They are still calling my cell phone and I don't even know how they got my number.  Every time I talked it sounded weird like it was muted and when they talked it sounded like an augmentative communication device of some kind. Now when they call They do not leave messages on my cell they just call from several different numbers another one is 575-382-3813.

I received the call and got the videos. I was a little leary because it sounded like a pre-recorded message and then when they did call back, they wanted my credit card number or checking account number. Then they wanted for me to give them five friends numbers so they could call them. I asked them to send me a paper bill and they won't do that.  I have tried to call that number back and it won't let me go through.  I am sending the video back. I don't even know how they got my cell phone number.  I was stupid enough to answer it the first time because it was close to a number I recognized.

I made the mistake of answering awhile ago.  At first I guess I asked too many questions about the movie "What kind of movie? Is it made in Hollywood? Is it animated? I don't have or know any children..," so they got a "manager" on the phone to talk to me.  Well-DUH- I should have known THEN that it might be fishy or annoying. I ended up saying "yes" to the movie but gave my work address.  I didn't know my work ZIP so I gave a fake one.  If there is a movie I never got it but that may be my fault... At the end I asked them how they got my number-they said that since they are not selling anything they can call "randomly generated" numbers.
I don't know if it's legitimate or not, but they are conducting their "business" or "research" in a way that suggests they are not.

I recently recieved two movies after answering a call from this number. I would just like to let you all know that my daughter loves them, and they have some great values. My daughter wants to watch them all the time now! It IS with a company called kids first and they are trying to provide a clean alternative for our children.

I also got the call from Kid's First a couple months back. They were very pleasant and not rude as most telemarketers are so, being in a good mood that day I decided to give it a try (though I don't have any kids, they said it was fine). My sister also got a call from them, except they were not as nice to her. She tried to explain her circumstances that she did not have a DVD player to watch them on where she is right now, and they still persisted to the point where they were getting a bit rude. They were also very nice and took my home phone number off the list. Anyway, a couple weeks later they sent me the DVDs. With my busy schedule I never did get around to watching them. I still thought I was fine because they told me that they would send me a text message to make sure that I had watched them before they tried to call and get my opinion. They never texted. They just started calling every morning around 9am-10am. I had about a month without my phone because I left it at friends house turned off. Once I got my phone back I wasn't getting the calls anymore so I figured they just gave up. Once I got my new phone a week later the calls started again from a different number. I never answer them now because the one time that my father returned the call because I did not recognize the number they were very rude and basically hung up on him. They may have good intentions but their methods are not representing them well.

I now have 2 numbers that they call me from:

877-837-8560 and 505-247-1942

I also posted this same complaint for the phone numbers of:

So I just got called from this company (YET AGAIN!) and I am so tired of getting calls from them that I decided to do a research of where (505) area code calls come from... hence I found this site.  So here's my story... I'll warn you... it's LONG!

My husband AND I actually SEPERATELY fell victim to their "just listen for a few minutes with no obligation bla bla bla..." and THEN actually let them send the DVD's!  I fell victim about a year ago or more because their schpeel actually sounded good and as a mother of 2 at the time who wanted to instill good values into her children, I would be open to cheap "family friendly" DVD's... mine weren't even FREE! (See what I knew!)... I think mine were like $12 for the two DVD's.  Anyways, in my case they sent me the two DVD's and didn't say anything about calling back to get my opinion.  They just wanted to introduce me to their program.  In my case there was no hounding... (not really), they sent me the DVD's like they said and then didn't call back for awhile.  I didn't get a "follow up call" until a couple of months ago when they called to tell me that because I was a good customer or something like that, that I had a credit of I can't remember how much and that I could get two more DVD's for like $6 total... they told me the titles and one of them was about listening to your parents or soemthing like that (the "values" are pretty generic, but when you have a three year old who doesn't listen very well, I'll try a $3 movie about listening to your parents...).  They really are very friendly when they call you (so far...).  Anyways... I fell victim YET again!  So to make our situation more interesting... that week my husband tells me about this call from a "kid company" that told him about some free DVD's with no obligation all he had to do was watch them and tell them his opinion.  My husband is USUALLY pretty suspicious about these kinds of things from prior experiences in college, so whenever he is suspicious about a company, he never gives them his real name... he has a "code" name that when we get mail/phone calls for this code name, we know to be more cautious.  ANYWAYS... I was like, oh... YOU TOO?!  The wierd thing was that he said HIS "kid movie company" was called Kids First something bla bla... and MY "kid movie company" was called "Feature Films For Families".  Hmmm... maybe they were seperate companies, but I was beginning to get more suspicious myself.  So fast forward a couple of weeks when I get MY movies and he also get's HIS... the titles were somewhat similar.  MY movies were called "GALLAVANTS" and "BELLEFLOWER BUNNIES something...".  the other two that I bought last year were called "TINY HEROS" and "BELLEFLOWER BUNNIES Vol. 1 - Room To Move and Carnival".  To tell you the truth, my daughter has never watched the "Tiny Hero's" or the "Room to Move" ones as she wouldn't sit long enough to finish one (and she is one of those kids who will sit and watch a full lengh kid movie if she likes it...).  We DID actually sit down as a family and watch the "Gallavant's" one and also the other "Belleflower" one... Let me tell you, if you are a "values" family, you DEFINITELY won't like "Gallavants"  As my husband and I were watching it with our three year old daughter, there were several things that raised our eyebrows (as a three year old, our daughter didn't have a clue, but we did...).  There was suggestive underage drinking going on where this evident "minor" ant wants to join this band that plays at the local, let's call it a "drinking facility" with bar stools and ants toasting each other with a beverage (but you can't be in this place if you don't have your rear end "bump" aka are underage....)  He can't play with the band yet though because he hasn't earned his "bump" (something that grows out the end of his... achem.. rear end I guess...).  Anyways, to make a long story short, he somehow gets something "bump looking" to stick to his dairy-aire that looks like the real "bump" and so he gets to join the band... so there's my point on the underage drinking.  The other thing that we raised an eyebrow at is that the master ant is consulting this flower to see where and what his little ants are doing.  Looks like a crystal ball to me.  But I'll let that one slide since the witch on Snow White has a magic mirror... ok... now I'm ranting...

Let's get back to the Movie Hounding...
So my husband's movies arrive and then the calls come and come and COME!  The first time they called and asked for my husband's "code" name... so I knew it was them.  They called at like 9:00 a.m., my husband was at work.  So I said he wasn't available and they said they would call back... (They weren't KIDDING!), they called back again that SAME day in the later afternoon, lucky for me I programmed their number into my phone (to screen it...) and I didn't answer the phone.  I told my husband that they had called twice and he said "well, we better watch the DVD's... and time got away and we didn't.  But the movie hounds procedded to call EVERY DAY at least TWICE a day!  I never answered it cause I knew it was them and my husband was never home when they called.  The did this for WEEKS!  Even on weekend's they would call on Saturday's sometimes!  I could NOT believe how persistant they were!  At this point we had not yet watched MY movies to see that we really didn't appreciate their movies let alone their NAGGING!  Wait... it get's better... THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE PHONE NUMBER THAT THEY CALL FROM!!  I have three programmed so far... AND they GO BY MORE THAN ONE COMPANY NAME... I have heard that same guy's voice so many times now that when another "Family Friendly" movie company going by "Kid's First" called... I KNEW it was that guy!  RARGH!!  

So I don't know what else to say to all of you also getting calls from these HOUNDS... and it is really annoying that we can't report them because they are "Non-Profit".. (balloney... they are making money)... but I really want these bozo's to stop calling us.  Any ideas?

They say they send out childrens movies so you can watch and comment on when they call later. I was supposed to receive but never did.

This number belongs to Kids First. Their website is kidsfirst.org. They send out children's movies for people to watch and comment on.

I received this call shortly after 8am today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I got that call too. I did not answer either because I didn't here my (cell)phone ring.

I keep getting calls on my cell from this number.  I never answer it, because I'm sure it's some kind of sales call.
Anyone received this number before?
