To who this may concern: I have reported a lady by the name of Shannon. I am so irritated with her calling me everyday to collect a small debt. However, she always wants my credit card number so she can steal extra funds as she's done in the past. Shannon calls from Kansas City and I have reported her. She needs to be fired for her thief like behavior that is totally unacceptable! Stop calling shannon!  I have contacted the BBB and they will be taking further action! Unbelievable!

first off its the fdcpa that governs collection entities. the point about grammar really doesn't matter and distracts from my original point. granted my comment about the banking system was a gross overexageration but thats exactly what most of these posts are above. i am currently working in a dead end industry during the day bartending at night and taking college classes on line. in short go fya self.

They are World Recovery Service. Address is 7113 West 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66223. Phone number is also 877-813-1677. Fax 816-817-0556. To stop their calls fax and then mail a Cease and Desist letter. It must be certified with a return reciept requested. You can get the letter from the internet for free. They can only mail you letters then, and only if they have a valid claim that they can provide proof for, and proof is not a bill saying you owe them. It has to be some legal document with your signature. Also, note that some debts, if long enough ago, are not collectable. If the date for collecting has expired, they are out of luck. Be sure to read the rules for your state. Also, they have to be registered and licensed in your state.

Under federal law, a debt collector must stop all communication with you if you demand in writing that it do so. A "verbal cease and desist" is meaningless. See the link below for more information.

Here is one Cease and Desist:

Debt Collection Cease and Desist Letter ? send this letter via certified mail.  Be sure to keep a copy for your records.

In the event that you fail to honor my request, please be advised that a written log of all contacts made by your company will be recorded.  Furthermore, failure to honor this request could subject your company to liability under Federal law.

If you or any other agent of your company attempts to contact me regarding this debt, a formal complaint will be filed with the Texas State Attorney General?s Office and the Federal Trade Commission.

If you want them to stop calling you send them a Cease and Desist letter informing them that they may only contact you by US mail.  Perform a search on "cease and desist letter" to find samples that you can cut and paste into Word or Wordperfect.

After they have received this letter you can file for $1000 for each time they call you.  If you do want to nail them for these infractions be sure to send the C&D letter by registered mail with proof of delivery.  Then keep a log of every call you receive afterwards.  Once you get three or more calls, look for an attorney who takes on debt collectors.  It's almost a sure win (the attorney will take 30% - 40%, but $600 to $700 PER CALL is better than nothing!).  The attorney can subpoena their phone records which will document their calls to your number(s).  Even so, keep a meticulous log for each phone call.  You can even take a photo of your caller ID for each call to supplement your phone log.

You CAN fight back and make them pay!

Can you say 'run on sentence?'

If you believe that nonpayment of overdraft fees is the cause of the banking systems woes, then you are truly clueless.  It was the use of taxpayer deposits by banking system for extremely risky financial investments so they could pay themselves seven figure year-end bonuses.  Since those deposits were insured by the federal government, the banks received taxpayer money to bail them out of their losses.  And now they try to impose draconian overdraft fees while manipulating the lag in posting deposits to *customer* accounts.  The net result is a loss in customers to banks who follow the rules in their day-to-day operations.

From your grammar, incorrect punctuation and poor spelling, my guess is that you need to go back to earn a G.E.D.  Trust me, you'll earn much more over your lifetime.

Note: there is no apostrophe needed in "fee's" or "your's", but there should be one in "won't".  Isn't that taught in sixth grade?  Also, "wining" is not a word...it is spelled whining.  For example, you were whining in your post because you are stuck in a dead end job with no prospect of moving ahead.

With poorly educated people such as yourself on the phones of these low-life, low-rent collection businesses, it's no wonder that your industry is rife with FCCA violations.  You probably can't comprehend the FCCA rules due to your poor, or nonexistent, work effort in the short period in which you were in the education system.

Seriously, you do need further education, not only to get ahead, but simply to understand the regulations imposed by the FCCA on your current minimum wage vocation.

you couldn't last a day dealing with the low lifes we get on the phone that are the right people but wont take responsibility for helping destroy our banking system by not paying simple overdraft fee's that everyone else has to deal with, the difference being most of us handle our responsibilities. Quit wining about your's

Don't answer and don't pay these debt-collectors!  They get pennies on the dollar for your debts and add interest on top of it.  Your credit is ruined regardless, just wait a couple of years for it to drop off your credit report and you'll be all set.  Fight these low-lifers off people!
