I see that this must be their practice, calling people that aren't at your number.  I get about 6 calls per day from this number.  I do not answer any more.  I tried to block the number, but with my phone service they said I would have to "upgrade" to do so.  Seriously, if I want to block one annoying number I will have to pay for it.  Not worth my money, I will continue to not answer and then erase the message for an unknown person.  Annoying!!

They call and ask for smeone we don't know. They keep calling daily even after being told we don't even know the person. We keep getting recordings now. We just hang up.

Called asking for some guy named Daniel, I've had my number for over 6yrs & never received a call for a daniel before.  Then she asked me if I knew who he was lol.  Nope!

i got a call from this same number and some guy named Matt answered and says he is calling from Van Ru Corp. so i ask what this is about and he says before we go any further i need your last 4 digits of ssn and dob. really i said wow if you calling me and you know my name you obviosly have all my info.. he was a jerk and said i need to know that i am speaking to the correct person. okay so you call and ask for me in full name then you want to clarify who i am really. jerk stop calling me....

Maybe your number has been recycled because mine is and I've been getting calls from supposedly debt collectors who don't even know me.   I don't have any debt and these so called debt callers don't know how to find their clients yet they keep calling people many times a day or week. what's wrong with their system?

They were fishing for data. They have your name and phone number on there screen when you call. but they just kept asking. I gave them NO info. and I just kept calling them every 5 minutes till to show them how it feels to be harassed by an auto dialer. they said they would take me off the auto dialer.

This company calls all the time, they say they are a debt collector.  We do not have any DEBTS. They keep requesting social security number and birthdate, I refused to give it to them.  I told them to mail any information they had regarding this so called debt to me, they refused.  I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.  I advise everyone to do the same thing, in my opinion they are seeking personal information for unlawful reasons.  If the BBB does not do anything, I will report them to our Attorney General's Office.

The thing is that someone with bad credit gave your phone numberto the credit company  when they applied for as loan or credit card.
I keep getting these calls too because a friend gave meand my phone number as a reference. The Do not call list is useless.

I got a call from this number this morning asking for my son who passed away in January of 2008.
She would not tell me what it was in regards to just I needed to send her the death certificate. It is a matter of publice records I told her to pay the fee and get it herself if she needed it.

Have the number blocked if you can.  CASE CLOSED!

I mean I have a credit rating of over 800!  Who in the hec would I owe money to with a rating like that.  They really should do their homework first.

They keep calling my phone too.  I just don't call back.  I let voicemail pick it up.  Oh yeah, I have a separate number for crank callers.  They are fitting right in line.

Sooo, too, if you have a debt YOU WILL GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL.  No idiot company is going to try to collect a debt over the phone.  That would just be DUMB!!

Here's the thing - They are harassing me too, but posting to this site DOES NO GOOD. It's not like the company reads these complaints! Post to bbb.org, as right now they have a rating of A !! That's the true injustice, that they are a thug of a company with an excellent rating - although they have 114 complaints, they have "always tried to settle them" and the implication was that the consumer was the irrational one. No point in posting here - your post will just be read by people who are just as pissed off as you are at these people. Waste of time - go to bbb.org and file a COMPLAINT, let's get that company the "F" that they so truly deserve!

These people are so rude and they call you by the persons name they are looking for. When you tel lthem that person isn't here they bug you and try to be aggressive in getting another number. They ahve called 4 times today alone every 20-30 minutes! I finally had enough and got urde right back....now have blocked there number and will continue blockign any number they call from. They said they are trying to collect on an unpaid parking ticket that we are currently disputing because the ticket was on our license plate yet the court records have a total differnet vehicle listed on ticket top it off we were not in the STATE!!! My answer to everyone....get rude with them right back....do not let them bully you in any way....it has now become harrassment!!!

Person called saying it was regarding an "important business matter" and needed to first verify the last four digits of my SSN. I declined, asked for his manager's name (Thor), and then asked to be transferred. He asked me to hold, and then returned a minute later saying that in order to transfer me, he needed to verify my birth date. I advised him my number is on the do no call registry and that I am going to file a complaint accordingly.

These people are some debt collectors trying to intimidate people on the phone. They do not have a clue who they are calling but think they can bully you over the phone. I think they are scum that gathers old accounts that others have had in the past and tries to collect the owed monies but they do not have the correct information so they bother people that are not the ones they are looking for. I guess they feel if you throw enough hooks into the water you will catch a fish. report them as often as they call then they might get dumped form the planet. They already have had several law suits from their actions and I am sure there are more pending and to come. Rid the planet of these scum sucking pigs!

THEY CALL ME HERE AT WORK HARRASING ME TRYING TO SPEAK TO MY SUPERVISOR HE STATES HIS NAME IS OFFICE JOSEPH GARNER AND THAT I NEED TO PAY 360.00 BY VISA PREPAID CARD NO MONEY ORDERS OR WESTERN UNION THEY THREATEN ME HERE. HE GAVE ME A FAX NUMBER TO FAX OVER A LETTER THE FAX HE GAVE ME WAS 1-800-316-8023.

Same deal as above- left message on my cell about debt.  Florida Dick Scott sold driver license data to 3rd parties.  If I had time, I'd refer all calls to his personal phone, the jerk! I'm on DNC list.  No good when your governor screws you.

I got a call from this # today.  They wanted to verify the last 4 of my SSN before proceeding...but they wouldn't tell me why they were calling.  I told "Tyler" that I wouldn't give them a single # from my SSN unless they could tell me why they were calling...they wouldn't so I told them to take my # off of their list.

This number calls me 4-5 times a day -- I wish they would stop calling!

I get this call at least 5 times a day.  very annoying.  No one ever answers their side of the line.

they suck! the same as all them said. no answer. i allways answer and they hang up. i had to yell for them to talk to me, and even that was a machine! lame.

These calls come almost on a daily basis and several times a day.  Can't understand name they are saying and even if you press the digit 2 to let them know they have the wrong number, calls still continue.  Would like for calls to stop.  Are these calls coming from Earth?

i tried calling back (from another number, not my cell phone # that they keep harassing) and a guy just answered "hello?" i said "yes, who is this? you keep calling my cell phone number?" he said "who is this? you called me." i hung up. sounds like it's a bunch of no-good to me if they don't answer with any formal greeting and don't want to tell me who they are when they call.
