You need to file a complaint with your State's District Attorney.

I should think victims of this devious and possibly fraudulent debt collector care to find some answers.

Which style of life would you suggest I obtain? Maybe one like yours which is consumed with hurling the same limp catcall at total strangers on a biweekly basis?

There is plenty which can be done about problems reported by Annette, Resp, and Tish if only someone would confirm the full business name and that the collection agency has a US presence. All three commentors have a cause of action under the FDCPA sufficient to hose this agency in court at very low or no cost to them.

The illegal threats reported here do however parallel the kind heard from South Asian fake debt collectors, who cannot be sued or easily controlled by individuals in the States. My notes on such payday loan and "hot check" collectors are linked below.

Indiana is reportedly home to Landmark Accounts, and Bellevue, Washington has a Landmark Recovery Services. The other mystery call sites are coming up empty for the two numbers reported here.

Several fake comments have been removed from this thread. The faker pretended to be different people who were sued by these people.

Debt Collector
I got a call from this company on April 10th stating that if I did not put a 100 dollars on a green card they would take me to court and that would cost me over a two thousands. They refused to take the money out of my bank account. They wanted the money placed on a reusable debit card. This was strange to me. They also stated a case number #109-186. The mans name is Jeremy Willard Ext 417. He may indeed work for the Landmark company, however, the methods that he is using is not legit. I questions his motives and I think that this is a fraudalent case. Please, if there is anyone out there who can stop this madness, please respond. Let our voices be heard. These people called my job and family as well with threating messages. I'd rather take my chances and go to court.

I got a call from this number today informing me that I was officially served and that the charge was fraud. They went on to say that an arrest warrant was issued through my home county. The bad thing is that they left the same message on my parents answering machine and it scared my parents. Is there anything legally that can be done?

gotta message saying that if I don't respond to their phone calls they will have to see about the protocol of serving me at work. They had already called work and were told I was at home.
I got a call almost identical to this but with a different phone number. Same thing, threats, calls at work, and when I checked with my local prosecutors office, I discovered there was no case pending against me.
I just wish I could convince them to not call my work.
