Got a call from someone also stating an officer would be coming to our door and a complaint number as well. When my husband started asking him questions, the man hung up quickly. So after a couple hours I called our local police office and asked them if they had any info about this and they said they did not. So glad others had this too, I was getting scared for a minute there!

Same runaround as others reported.  Threatening messages saying you must call this number, then belligerent person answers "Litigation Department" and is unwilling to identify themselves or what the "case" is.   This shop seems pretty determined to abuse people, without ever explaining what the actual matter is.  I am not sure what scam they are running, but I wonder if it is all a fraud scheme to get your credit card number and the last four digits of your social security number.

They called my Employer and told them to tell me to call 877-856-9440 and gave them a case number (seven digit) and told them...if I did'nt call that day, they would proceed with the case. My boss call me and ask me if I was in some kind of trouble. This happened to me last year too. I never did call that number again. I guess I'm not the only one been bothered with this kind of b/s.

I just received a call myself from a Restricted number. They provided absolutely no info and I've never had a run in with the law or unpaid debt. Glad I came on here, otherwise I would've wasted my time.

I just had to say that when my mother read these today following the harrassment yesterday she asked if Me was well me as the stories were so similar.

This company called my mother and informed her that I had missed a court date and if I did not contact them within the hour I would be arrested.  Upon contact by myself they provided inaccurate information about a past debt and threatened to garnish wages or attach a lein to property.  During the course of the call they provided inaccurate information regarding the amount of the debt as reported on credit history as well as address information.  When told they did not have an accurate address they did not wish to update their records.  When I requested information in writing regarding this debt I was offered an email and denied the opportunity to recieve written notification by mail.  I was also told that the only way to rectify anything was to provided them with my personal banking information despite offer to send a money order.

Upon personal follow up on the matter, questions I asked regarding the legitimacy of the debt were not answered and were evaded.  When I asked about lack of information regarding this company, including a company website, and lack of positive information (F rating with the BBB and an lawsuit aganist them filed in Illnois) there was no adequate response except to attack me.  When there illegal tactics the previous day were said to be unethical the gentleman attacked me as a person before hanging up on me.

I realize that the debt is out there.  I contacted the credit card company that originally held the debt and am attempting to follow up exactly who owns the debt in order to eliminate these people.  The credit card company sends out all transfered/sold debt with the current information they have on file which includes a correct address for that time, not the incorrect address these individuals insist of using.  Funny I only talk to three people there, a gentleman who I think was last name Snow and a Brittney Smith, and unknown gentleman who answered once but did not give his name.  For my sake I hope they are not legitimate.  I am not unwilling to resolve this matter but I cannot fathom that individuals as unprofessional as this guy can be legitimate.  Instead I think I will continue to persue this paper trail on my own just to see where it leads to.

Just got off the phone with this number. They said they were looking for my brother-in-law to serve him with a summons. I researched it and got all this information about how it's a scam and told him this and he backpeddled and tried to make excuses and explain and the like. Then, I asked for the company name again and the location. He said it was located in California and refused to give me the city. Finally, he gave me the city, but no address. When I asked for an address, he refused and said: "Why don't you give me your address?" And then promptly hung up on me. So, the point is: don't bother returning their call. They are trying to get money from you with phoney information.

I also got a call from them but only after they called my mother in law and scare the crap out of her saying that she needed to get in touch with me in order to get in touch with them in an hour or I would be arressted...

I also got a phone call but the first call was to my mother in law and they told her I had one hour to contact them or I was going to be picked up and taken to jail. I called the number which was 1-877-856-9440 whenI had called they asked who I would like to talk to...I had no idea what this was in reagards to just had a case number so let them know and some how I was speaking to the person who was working wth my account so he said and wish I would of got his name, he told me it was very strange I was calling him since I had not been served with court paper's yet and that he could give me a little information and he told me what credit card and my last 4 digit's of my social then told me that if it was taken to court would cost me $2,500 more and asked me if I wanted to make an offer he could take to them...I had told them I would need to call him back as I wanted to look up the company..For me I know I do owe the credit card company but there is no way I am paying these people...I will wait till the court papers come...


Funny I just called them back and the man I spoke to was Carlos which was the same guy who is answering the phones...so not sure why he gave me an extension to get a hold of him....well I asked for their address so I can send a money order he said very quickly oh no no no we don't take payment through the mail...he said he needed to talk to his client to make set up things first and how would they know I was making payment...well hello I am calling and if I was gonig to send payment why would he need to talk to them it would be in full...I know for me I did add my number to the do not call list and I am going to file a compliant with the BBB and my Attorney General...They call family members up stating I am going to be arressted if I don't call back in an hour and then when I do call they tell me how much more I will be paying if I don't settle out of court oh and that they will get a judgement and will have to pay over the next 10 yrs and they will garnish my wadges and take my veichle....

Oh before I forget he also said the address so fast it was impossible for me to get but I did insist to have it and this is the one they had given

I got a message from "Julie" with "Process Service Division." She said she had a court summons for me. When asked what it was about, she said she didn't know, it was sealed, but she could put a hold on it. Said I was to call 877-856-9440 and would need a case number. It was all very fishy.
