I went through with it and gave them my card number and everything and didn't realize till later what i had gotten into.  I just called back to cancell my order and thank God my card was declined and they went ahead and cancelled it.  NEVER AGAIN!!   DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

this company is such a scam. called and the supervisor answered, yeah right. lady over talked me, said to wait 2 days and charge would drop off. what's funny is i told the guy i wasn't interested and did not want the service, this was AFTER he decided to drop the price on the "magazines", but still charged me 30.00

I just received a call about winning a $1000.00 dollar shopping spree certificate.  The call came through on my cell phone and the number read 423-272-9174 @ 10am today and I was was told to return the call to 1-877-875-2098 by 3pm. I'm so glad that I looked up the number before calling back. These people need to be stopped. I'm tired of all these scams.

I looked at my cell and saw I missed a phone call. I listened to the voice mail and it was a lady named BRITNEY. She said congratulations for winning a $1,000 shopping spree please call 877-875-2098. I didn't call back that 877 number I called the number 423-272-9183 and a lady named ASHLEY picked it up and said Publishers. So, I just hung up and said no thank you and please stop calling me. I looked the number up and saw these complaints..Thank GOD..How the hell they get our numbers?

i also just got a call that was very similar to all the reports below. i got a call from 423-733-5103 and then calls from 877-875-2098. IT IS A SCAM!!!! i tried to call back but it just rang and rang....some ppl apparently have no life.

Thanks for the info everyone - I just got a call today from Renee with Mountain Area.  Sounded like she an Align gift certification to but could have said "online" for $1000.  State the whole "good news/bad news" as well.  Will delete the message and not call back.

I also got a call.          PEOPLE!!!!!........There's a very simple way to stop this.....DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION!  They said they were "Mountain Area", when I called back, they said they were "The Publisher".  What they want is to send you 5 magazines.  Charge you for shipping that you will pay $2.85 a MONTH for SIXTY MONTHS.  That is $720.  I flat out asked them if they were going to ask for my credit card information.  They said yes, they needed it for billing purposes so they could send out the $1,000 certificate.  I said I AM NOT ABOUT to give you that information over the phone.  They said we will not share this information with anyone.  I said YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT, because I'm not giving you that information.  They said we're sorry you feel that way and hung up.
Be smart out there......if it sounds too good to be true, it is.  If they ask for your bank account information, tell them to go jump in the lake.  If everyone does this, it will PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!  Simple!

just got a call from 423-733-8137 - Cody with "Mountain area". he was laughing/giggling the whole time. very creepy. he told me i won a $1000 online shopping spree, and he needs me to call back at 877-875-2098 before 3pm. i'd love it to be true,  but it does indeed seem very fake. the big giveaway here is that he didn't mention my name once. that makes it pretty clear i'm one of hundreds of people he has to call today.

I got a call from the same number the lady said her name was lenzy she told I won 1000 dollars but then she had to verify my age then she asked do I work and for my credit card I told I don't have one then she said this offer is not for... she said it was from a company called the publisher

I got called from a lady named martha saying i won 1,000 dollars from a company called mountain area

I got the same call. Same thing....what a disappointment. Don't even bother with calling back!

Received 2 back-to-back calls on my cell from a Tennesee number 423-733-8737. Received voicemail from "Ash" with "The Publisher Service" (?) Was told to call 877-875-2098 or the number that came up on my caller ID. told me she had good news and bad news. the good news is I won a 1000.00 shopping spree but it sounded like she said 'all-mart' or some other fictitious name meant to SOUND like Wal-Mart. the bad news was that she didn't get to talk to me. well the worse news for her is that she never will!!!! thanks for all the reports on this number!

I also got a call from 423-733-8137, this womans name was JOCELYN and she wanted me to call her back because i won a 1000 online shopping spree. What a joke, I didnt call the number i googled the number first. Thank goodness I did to read about this. DONT FALL FOR IT!! The number to call back was the same as above

Got a call from this  423-733-8737,identifying as ASHLEY and asked to give me a call back on the toll free # 877-875-2098.
THis sounds like a perfect scam.

how do they get a number that just got conceted less then 1 hour ago and what is it all about? if they ask me for bank or credit card info there in for a susprize because i don't have any one of them and can't get any one of them. so ill be the one laughing not them. but truly people how they get my number and name and i don't fill out things on here with my real name and i just got a phone. so what gives?

Got a call wanting me to do a survey, then they called back and left a message on my cell phone stating I won 1000.00 and her name was Ashley, and to please call her back...which I did not do.

I WAS WONDERING if any of you know how to stop this? BC they charge me for 34.00 dollars for magazines or something. SO.! I was wondering if any of you would know how to stop this PLEASE REPLY ASAP! other wise i will have to talk to the bank to change my account number and credit card number etc.

Got a call on my cell offering me a 1,000 online shopping spree. I immediately googled this number and saw all the complaints on it. Do not call these people back! It is a scam!
