Cell phone shows unknown, don't pick it up. A vague message is left that sounds like it could be legitimate, but it's NOT. 877-876-4999 call back number is left. Think they got my number off of Craig s list when I listed a car. The dirty Scum.
Luca 2014-07-01 20:44:58 Unknown

I have received numerous calls. A male left a message that he had a case with (my number) He had exhausted all efforts and if he didn't get a return call so he could get an answer to his questions by 7pm central standard time. By not answering his questions he knew what the answers would be. He sounded very threatening and actually scarry. I am disabled and this is stress my immune system does not need. The calls are becoming more often, each day on a average of 2-3 times. How do I stop this? Where do I go?
Jewls 2014-06-30 14:32:30 Unknown
Called left message that if I did not call back that day I would forfeit my rights. That my claim would be going to court this week. I. Called the number and the recording said they don't receive blocked calls and ask for my number. That's when I hung up the phone.

I was contacted by this office in regards to a bill i owed, I am in the process of clearing up my debt they seemed helpful, sent me a "paid in full" letter so i could have it taken off my credit report. The woman I spoke to was mild mannered and I thought she was helpful. I guess when your not avoiding them and actually pay back your debt they treat you better!

It's the Marshall's number.

I have received a lot of calls from this firm, all pre-recorded. I was threatened but still have not received the information that I have asked for about the debt. When I first asked them why the bank that I stopped using in 2009 or so didn't send me any information about the debt, I was told "they don't have to send you any notices". Now I do know that if I owe someone money bank, credit card medical bill, I will get a written bill asking for the money owed. This is how this while thing went, first call to my younger brother, then to my mother, then to my home number, finally to my cell phone, which by the way is the number that the bank that I had the account with had. This was after weeks of daily calls, I finally went to the bank and asked about this claim that was being made and low and behold the bank had no information about this debt.

Got a call from (832) 246-7031. Message starts off with, "Hi, I'm calling in regards to a claim very recently filed within our firm actually concerning your name and your social security number. Now I'm not sure if you're aware of the severity of the issue..." Told me that he's giving me a toll-free number for my convenience: (877) 876-4999 and that I needed to call back. Never mentioned my name. Sounded like a scam so I Googled the number. I know my credit report is perfect and my credit score is as high as it gets; I don't owe any debts. Not calling them back.

What's wrong with America today??
Liars, thieves & scumbag debt collectors are a good start. So are those who accuse others of not paying bills without any proof and harass innocent people. Then there are those who work for slimy companies and post here about how wonderful that company is.

walter lee & associates LLC does not have a BBB that I can find.
I'm glad I'm not in debt either. However, the fact remains that extortion scams are a dime a dozen and we find them everywhere, especially here and with shills trying to make bogus claims that its "twoo, Its Twoo" to attempt to make the extortion scam real. Lame Shilly, thanks for playing!

You might consider improving your writing skills. No wonder you're in a lousy low-paying job working out of someone's house in a run-down neighborhood. Look: All I'm saying is that kitchen-table debt scamming is a dead-ender. Get some education and try to get a better job.
1. Start by capitalizing your sentences.
2. Make sure your sentences have a logical flow.
You need better work skills and your mind could use some improvement.
I suspect you're most likely in New York state. Plenty of free educational sources there. A lot of free education on the internet too. Did you know that the bulk of the classic literature of the English language is available free? A lot of books dealing with a lot of different subject are also free. You just have to look.
Get out of debt scamming; get into something better.

got same call this morning with same call back num. about sis-n-law. I called and talked with sis-n-law. she called them back and they gave her the same bs story about a debt she owed. without giving any of her info., she asked them how can she pay. their reply was "with check, credit, debit card or GIFT CARD". needless to say, she hung up.
Rob 2014-05-20 21:32:32 Unknown
Guess we know who is making those calls, don't we?
Try getting a real job instead of trying to make your calls look legitimate. What a loser.
carolyn 2014-05-20 21:17:52 Unknown

Scam/Phishing
Got simultaneous calls from 405-254-9113 on two different cell phones, it's not a number in my contacts (and even if it were, only a bot or a computer based dialer can call two phones from the same outgoing number simultaneously) so I didn't answer it. The message left on both phones was a recording of the same guy, but made to sound as if it was a live person leaving the message. The recorded message said there was a case filed against my name and social security number, but didn't state who the call was for. The phone number 877-876-4999 was given as a call back number, but it was only given once, not twice like most companies will do if they're trying to contact you for legitimate reasons.
Written 2014-05-15 16:58:01 Telemarketer
Got a call from them, the general line was that it was formal notice of service (doesn't work that way in my state) and that a complaint had been filed against me and they have my SSN. Which is lovely except I've never heard of that person and I'm quite sure I haven't changed genders in the past day.
Needless to say, they're full of it. Making a hard lean to pressure someone to call in a panic about some mystical case against them that doesn't exist and claiming to send papers. Maybe they should spend more time getting their act together so they don't come off as an embarassing mess..

Don't answer calls from them

Multiple calls from this number saying I'm named in a lawsuit. Quick recorded message and a hangup. Definitely sounds like a scam. Thanks to all the previous posters on this.

They tried calling my former place of employment threatening to sue me. They used tactics of fear claiming seriousness of a supposed legal problem that they need to talk about. I blocked their number, and will file a complaint with the Attorney General.
nora54 2014-04-28 18:02:48 Unknown
Called me and told me someone has filed a claim against me and I may not know how serious this is. I looked up the number they called from and it is not business listed for this number. I am tired of people trying to scam me. Are they so stupid that they think the people they call don't look up their information. They need to stop this. Man did not leave a name or the name of the company. He stated under my name and social. how does he know who he is leaving a message for. Stupid people.

Received a call from (414) 888-4039 (an invalid number in the area) and left a message stating he was from a firm (no name given), received my name and ssn to collect a debt owed, left me a free toll number (877) 876-4999 for my "convenience", stating the "severity" of this issue. Not calling the number back thanks to this feed. Agreed it was fishy as he didn't leave his name and/or greet me in the message, tell me where he was calling from, and just hung up right after giving the "free toll number." Thanks all for the help!

I'm getting the same calls?9:30 every morning. I work late, need the calls to stop. They reference this number to call back but the incoming caller ID is a land line address in Basehor, KS. I know it's a scam, where does one report this?
