Do not call!
| Ron 2013-02-07 16:14:54 Unknown |
While it may take 30 days for the number to be removed from their list, the recorded message also said they will make every attempt to remove it "in the next couple days".

This is a unhappy (and former contributor) to the ADA. Called your number back, tried the do not call option and just kept repeating. Now all your number are blocked. Good job having another contributor bite the dust.

I have been receiving allot of annoying phone calls daily that I'd like to prevent from calling me. But the ADA is the only no. I don't mind calling me being that I was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic at the age of 6 yrs. old (1982).
Just recently The ADA called me & I agreed to accept a donation pkg. with about 8 envelopes enclosed that I'd mail back to them all at once. Friends would write a check out to The ADA worth any amt. they thought was generous & when The ADA received your check they would double the donation with their own money. But don't worry , the orig. amt. on your check is all that's being withdrawn from your checking acct. For examp. you write a $25.00 check , they will actually be getting a $50.00 donation. But only $25.00 is removed from your checking acct. Just 2 wks ago they called me & I collected $335.00 from close family & friends in donations raising them $670.00
Doubling your donation might just be with the envelope pkg. Phone calls may be different.

Let's not only blame ADA. Have calls from a firm selling hearing aids, a call from a company I stopped doing business with, many, many no one there calls. There has to be a company that is soliciting business and doing this. How come even when I try and stop the calls they keep on coming? Calls come daily.

I receive calls at least daily from this number. I noticed another person's post saying if you call this number back you can request your phone number be removed from the Am. Diabetes solicitation call list, which I did. It mentions it may take up to 30 days to remove your number but I certtainly hope it does not take this long.

Thanks Jan for the info. This number has awakened me at 8:00 a.m. when I try to sleep in as well as calling several times a day.

Have received several calls from this number.
There is never anyone on the other end.
I am on the do not call list.
I have never asked for anything from the ADA so they are not allowed to call me but do it anyway.
I will report them to the FCC for violations and I will NEVER give them a penny since they do these things.

I have supported the ADA for years & I do not know why they are resorting to these continual phone calls. At least once a day using different numbers. If it isn't one ADA Organization it's another. Either State, County or City or National or West or East or anything in-between. Even when you agree to do a neighborhood fund raiser they call & continually send you letters wanting more. I did call this number & request they remove our phone number but will it work with the dozen or more other numbers they use?

I get daily calls from at least 6 different numbers that have been id'd as American Diabetes. This is harassment plain and simple. Can we get the President of their boards' personal phone number so we can start calling their home morning noon and night. I'm ready to rip our phone off the wall.

Thanks, Jan. I called # back and through automated process, requested that my phone # be removed from call list. Takes 30 days to become effective though. I get at least 3 calls a day from ADA who uses different numbers each time.

This is the American Diabetes Association. If you call the number back it gives you an option to remove your number from their calling base.
